The Minnesota Timberwolves win their first playoff series since 2003-04 and defeated the Phoenix Suns, 122-116. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 40 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 7 3PM, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 28 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Devin Booker tallied a playoff career-high 49 points, along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds for the Suns in the loss. The Timberwolves win the best-of-seven series, 4-0, and will face the winner of the Nuggets-Lakers series.
Anthony Edwards passes Kevin Garnett (7) for the most 30+ point playoff games in Timberwolves franchise history
Anthony Edwards joins Luka Doncic (5x) as the only players in NBA history with multiple playoff games of 30+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists, and 5+ 3PM, at 22 years old or younger
Anthony Edwards becomes the first player in Timberwolves playoff franchise history to record 40+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists, and 5+ 3PM in a playoff game
This is the 3rd playoff series win in Timberwolves franchise history, previous two came in the 2003-04 season
