I loved Anthony Bourdain for so many reasons. But chief among them was how he so successfully taught people how to enjoy food from all over the world, in ways they never thought possible. In reality, he was one of the greatest goodwill ambassadeurs of all time. How many MILLIONS of people did he reach and effect during his brief lifetime?? His presence was so powerful and full of life, that I still cannot come to grips with the fact that he's gone. I'm just glad that we have his videos to remember him by. DAMN, I miss him :(

He knows Cooper by now (CNN compatriots and all) and his lack of cuisine interest, gets him to agree on a bit like they showed; and makes it great TV and a genuine “I’ll show you something that will raise your eyebrows in disgust, yet when it when it’s done you’ll thank me” moment. That’s AB in a nutshell, and kudos to Cooper for going outside his comfort zone and enjoying the moment...and the food!!

O Kay I'm Korean and I find Koreans rude too. It's just how Koreans are. But Koreans and other Asians don't go to Asian restaurants for good service. They go for good food.

I am glad to watch this awesome video and the chef who has such a respectful and passionate attitude towards other food cultures. Having said that, as a Korean man who loves cooking korean dishes, the stew is unlikely to be delicious. Gochu-jang(chilli paste) itself cannot make a good flavour. There should have been minced garlic, beef stock, sugar, paper, much more chilli powder(for the most part, chill powder is more used than chilli paste in local army stew restaurants. Both used though), additional MSG such as ajinomoto, beef dasida or seafood dasida etc. However except sauce, other ingredients are legit. Just watching this video made mouth water.
