So I wrote my last single #LetItGo as a way to express how betrayed and broken I felt when my last relationship came to an end. However, that was only a fraction of everything that happened. It's crazy how creative anth and conor are with these songs specifically their videos. This is dark. Shows you what love can do to you. Forcing it into possession. This man loves her but was extremely hard to show it. When she left it made him crazy and instead of letting go he refused and fell into possession. Trying to make her fall in love the wrong way. But even though she is scared she sees why he does it and she knows she loves him too. Nobody i mean nobody wants to see someone they truly loves fall into this amount of pain that he maintains possession

8 yrs ago I left an abusive relationship. Thanksgiving day 2012 after myself and my kids being held hostage and beaten nearly to death. I made the choice to grab my kids and literally run. Best choice I ever made. 3 yrs of hell with that man felt like an eternity. PTSD so bad from them years. Just glad my kids were to young to really remember details. God gave me the strength that day. And for anyone in a situation similar just know it's ok to leave. Someone that truly loves you would never hurt you. And help is out there if you reach out. I pray everyday for victims of domestic violence. This song really pulls on my heart strings.
