So I wrote this song about a girl I was seeing for almost 4 years. She was everything I had been looking for in a girl. Someone that I saw myself finally settling down with. Someone that I truly believed I would one day marry and start a family with. We were similar in so many ways but I always looked at her as a better person than me. Someone that I truly didn’t deserve and was very fortunate to have in my life. I was always the one fucking up in the relationship and making stupid mistakes due to my own trust issues. She was with me before my career really started and before I really started to make money. She was there for me through my greatest and happiest times as well as my most difficult and darkest times. Despite all the constant ups and downs, we stuck it out. I spent years trying to change myself for the better and prove to her that I could be the stable, trustworthy man that she always wanted, but little did I know, she wasn’t as perfect as I thought she was. Constantly deleting texts and calls from guys that I didn’t even know she knew, lying to my face about where she’d been and what she’d been doing, and cheating on me every single time I was away for work. It made me realize that anyone can paint you a picture that’s black and white but eventually the true colors will always bleed through. I always thought she’d be the one walking out on me and never did I think that I would be the one who would finally pull the plug. I’m sure she’ll probably see this video and resent the fact that I’m putting our personal business out into the public but fuck it. This is the story of us. Just discovered this song. My fiancé cheated on me after almost 8 years of being together. We met when we were 18 and now I’m 25 & felt like my life was over... It nearly was after attempting suicide by overdose. But I found music helped me to express my emotions and this song has really helped. It’s relatable & It makes me (In an odd way) smile. I had a similar I was with my person for seven years and we were close to getting engaged and married eventually And she definitely hurt me the same way And she denies it and says it didn't count cuz in her head she tried to break up via text and wouldn't do it in my face and wasn't concise and was indecisive and then when I fought hard for her she gaslighted me and kept saying she wanted me in her life but she wanted to be single and because she would change her mind a lot and I knew that she struggled with depression and other things I didn't take it serious because how can I take it serious when she drinks and she has depression and borderline and other things that she hasn't worked on the bottom line is I could have left but I didn't know how I feel time and I didn't want to I wanted to preserve what we had because what we had was perfect and great and then she ultimately hurt me and then says it doesn't count because I wouldn't let her go but she doesn't take into account that she hurt me so I understand your story man it hurt me too I almost committed suicide three times that you're the pain was too painful and the dreams the agony all the feelings and emotions were too much for one person to handle and I see why people fall apart and heartbreak messes you up and makes u do things unimaginably

I'm sorry I went through something similar 7 years and we were planning marriage in the next year or so which would have been last year And I caught her at the bar and while I didn't see anything she said nothing happend and they were just "having a drink" yet she stayed there til 2 am and lied to me after never lying to me for years and I trusted her more than anyone in my life even myself cuz she was so loyal since day one Just to find out two weeks later when we actually did break it off that she indeed did something with that person and she said in her head it was not cheating because in her head she had been broken up for 3 months our story gets more complicated because she was back and forth indecisive and not knowing what she wanted but then she would tell me my face that she wanted me and after 7 years I didn't know how to let it go and I just decided if she wants to be with me and she tells it to my face then let's just be together even though she had her issues and had so many issues and she kept saying she wants to be with me and then gaslight me and go back and forth it just got so tricky and complicated but the point is she never truly broke it off with me she just wanted to say she was broken up in her head just so she can experiment and so it wouldn't count as cheating and if it didn't work out she would come back to me and string me along and she expected me to just be okay with it so that's why she doesn't want to consider it cheating and it hurt so bad it made me want to commit suicide I almost attempted three times I hated myself I was devastated I felt like my life was over I felt like there's no point living and I was also going through losing myself my jobs and having family drama at home I didn't know how to handle it I gave up on God I gave up on everybody it took me awhile to bounce back and I finally realized just like you through music that music could save you and a lot of support around you hearing people's stories and hearing how they overcame it little by little day by day I eventually found myself and I bounced back I go to church God is good and now I have met so many different people new people and I finally forgave my ex even though she rebounded and gave up on us after 7 years and will never take accountability for what she did I realize now I will never again allow myself to be that vulnerable and weak again for nobody never again and I deserve so much better and so do you

@@hispanic925 I didn’t try to harm myself, but being with someone who demands a lot , is exhausting, then his sister and I didn’t see eye to eye, I tried to fix things, but when you are in med school, time is limited. He started hanging out with his coworkers a lot, because I wasn’t paying attention to him…. I told him to move out and live his life, the only problem was that we worked at the same hospital, he tried to constantly show me how popular he is with women, lol. I value myself, so I refused to play his games. After a year he moved back to Texas, to his parents place, but continued to message me, had to block him everywhere, but some songs bring those memories back.

A male cousin of mine,just got his engagement cancelled. He was a strapping young lad when he met her,a girl from a rural village far from city. He confronted her,and she said she doesn't want to go on with the relationship. Although i knew,my cousin is a stubborn guy,but he's the kind of guy that work his ass off to get what he wanted. Wow, I’m mesmerized by this. My fiancé and I was together and I thought everything was fine until she cheated on me with my two best friends and it killed me. To this day I stay in the shadows trusting people is something I can’t do. Heart Destroyed used as someone’s toy. She grabbed my heart and pulled the pin and that was just the end.

Any tips?? I’m going through the same thing right now. First relationship. She cheated on me, hid me from him and told me he was a friend. Worst of a she told me it was all joke when I said Im done after she came clean, and i believed her… only for her to tell me later on it wasn’t a joke. my biggest mistake 😢💔

This song is pure fire. I love how the actors were so raw with emotions putting the words right out to our face. So we don't just listen we see and experience it. Conor Maynard did a great job with the directing. In a world where people turn to hide emotions its great to hear songs like this put out emotions, people are trying to hide, let them know its okay to let go.
