felt the same way about the wedding thing… so we found a random lady online who could fill out our marriage certificate and then flew to Mexico and spent two weeks doing what we wanted without the stress of a wedding 👏🏼 or the hefty cost of a wedding !!

We are very similar in regards to attitude about marriage! Also dating for 8+ years and living together . I don’t see my relationship changing after marriage either. Also don’t want a wedding. One idea I’ve had is renting a house for both families and a few friends to celebrate marriage with. I also don’t see myself enjoying my own wedding and realized I don’t need to do that just to please other people

part of me hates to discount the eight years we've spent together thus far by thinking that marriage would change it! like we've BEEN doing life together, it's not only starting when it's legal 🤣 renting a house is such a good idea!!

One question I always mean to ask you that you touched on a tiny bit when you mentioned talking like your manager, etc....is watching is if you do share that you You Tube to your work friends/colleagues/etc? Would love to know if you care to share!

How's it like to be a social worker with bsw and MSW degree. Is that worth it . Will you get good money. How's the job

with hindsight, have you considered the possibility of consequences , not necessarily from you, but other social workers who have left their field of work, that. people who’s actual lives had no opportunity to quit or walk away.. i’m sorry beating around the bush, would a service from somebody who like you is transparent about what actually happens, a place for people to go or contact others who had that life rugs pulled out from underneath their very feet, basically the opposite of what you were doing happy wishes for your future, regardless.. remember that you are always growing & learning, try to stay strong & grounded

That’s so interesting I graduated in August of 2023 with my MSW and my starting hr pay is $38 and that for a nonprofit. Industry standard in WA is $45 an hour

i would loooooove that here oh my gosh -- my first job out of my msw was $25/hr with zero benefits, i was hoping for more of an hourly increase when moving to my current job and obviously didn't get all too much but do have good benefits now

In my state, starting for medical social work can be up to $50-55 in major hospital chains! However, COL is high and a one bedroom apartment is 2.5k a month 🙃

Thanks for your transparency on your social work salary. I’m an LMSW also, my best advice is maybe try some PRN work on the side. It has been helpful and people really work with your schedule.

Loved this 🫶🏼 this is so funny bc we’re the same in a lot of ways. Me and my bf (3 years together) we talk about eloping too. 1 because my parents did it but 2 we realized a lot of it is a chore and unfun and kinda all the same, we like going to weddings but it’s not for us either lol we def are going to elope
