    First of all First nation people were not light skinned, they were dark skin, like the people of India, that is why Columbus thought he was in india when arrived in the U.S and the people he encountered were dark skin. You see a light skinned indian that means he is watered down, First Nation people are brown, not red but brown or darker, but we are one as a human race.

    +2016stormy You need to do some more research. The copper colored (dark brown) people were the original first peoples found here when Europeans arrived. All this crap with Indian Boards are the descendants of Europeans (check the history of the $5 Indian), who bought native status back in the late 1800s, playing the same old games they've been playing to acquire land since they arrived here. Even the dictionary tells the truth about who the original 'Americans' are.

  • @bluebird9749

    @bluebird9749

    Saroya Fanniel A $5 Indian only existed in the state of oklahoma, not in the whole United States of America, and it only existed within just five tribes, the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw & Seminole. It happened because the Indians at that time didn't have those jobs as clerks, and such, but now Native Americans have those jobs, and know how to speak English, and at that time, they didn't know how to speak English, and it only happened just one time only and that was at the turn of the century and it was for land. Now today, there is no land to give out to any Native American, it had all been doled out back during the early 1900's, so today their is no White men that are lining up and paying $5 to get Indian lands, so therefore there is no such thing as a $5 indian, it is just a slur that Blacks use to intimidate Native Americans. Native Americans of the Five Civilized Tribes have taken control of their own government and run it themselves. No more does a White person get those jobs any longer. The five tribes only hire their own tribal members to work in their tribal government jobs. $5 Indians don't mean anything, its just a slur for blacks to talk flak about Indians, lying to Indians that Blacks were here before Indians.

    My father always told us he was an Indiana; I was born in Seminoles Territory. I became conscious of the African Culture when I came to Alt., and I was powerful in the work standing for Africa and still somewhat. I hung-out with our families from African tough! One day, I went into the store of an African friend; as I enter his store, he immediately handed me a book, and he told me “this is who you are.” The title of the book (The MightyChieftains) by Time Life Books; and on the cover of that book is my father face. When you have been thinking you’re an African. And here comes an African from Africa, to informing me, you’re not one of us. I was blown away (hurt). Idon’t know why? When my father kept telling us, he’s an Indiana. I appreciated Bro. Yusuf so much today. Because when Black Americans, share with each other that they are Native Americans, they began to discourage each other by saying, you’re an African! Sure our ancestors who founded this country in the early moon of times are from Egypt, we are the true owner of the America. A lot of Black Americans needs to begin to face reality about their bloodline. So much has been taken from us Natives: our LAND, our identity and OUR WAY of LIFE. We have been turn all around, and to find out we are the true owners of America, rightfully so. Peace**LoVe

    I'm from NZ, I'm pakeha, not Maori. So I have a very outside perspective. It could be very wrong. My perspective is that colonists all over the world, including my ancestors unfortunately, have worked to assimilate and erase indigenous culture. Don't give in. Don't allow people to mix your separate cultures/history/stories/treasures/knowledge into an homogeneous meaningless mess. However also, do not allow division and looking down on one another to prevent you from working together. The man in this interview has had a big chunk of his heritage stolen and denied by a government that wanted his people to disappear. The policies used were a deliberate attempt to deny descendants of the original inhabitants their history, and any access to their rights. If you go along with that as some sort of elitism because you can easily trace your ancestry, you are proving those thieving bastards right. You are opening the door for the same thing to happen again, perhaps to your descendants. If treaties etc were signed and laid out in perpetuity, the government who signed them should honour them to all of the descendents. That would be a step towards good faith.

    Many of the tribes on the East coast were welcoming to the Europeans, thus no treaties were signed. This is problematic to tribes that need to document existence as a tribe, dating back to first contact. Western tribes not only had first contact many, many years later. In addition, the relationships were adversarial and necessitated treaties. Not a single treaty has ever been honored by the US government.

I was told I was a Notaway then I awoke to the Pan-American Indian Associations connection with Usa,Inc. and the theft of children and names. Eugenics only stopped in paperwork in 1967. Raised roosters,hens, Guinea Fowl, hens and bittoe chicks. Smoked our own meat in a cinder block smoke pit with hickory logs.And we only went to the market for certain things. hi!! they arent claiming your cultyure the way you have white "chiefs" claiming to be indians when they arent.. the FACT is that blacks and natives mixed.. and dna has a funny way of revealing itself.. i can see the native in blacks, I see the anglo in many natives too... and vice versa.. remember back then natives and blakc didnt know about racism that was introduced.. in the caribbean we have the cimarrones these escaped slave and indian mixed communities that would raid white haciendas..

    Those eastern tribes were the 1st 2 come n contact with Europeans & now they don't have full-bloods left. Western Indian tribes still have many 100% full-blood Indians left N their tribes Bcuz the government put them on reservations, so full-blood Indians had babies with other full-blood Indians & the population is growing. It might B sickening 2 U but its not sickening 2 full-blood Indians

    You people only see white ppl that claim to be part Native American, so blacks think Indians are white. Go to a Indian reservation & you will see thousands of brown skin Indians that never mixed with white or black ppl, they are pure Indian & they are brown skin ppl, not white nor black. Stop saying Indian 'WERE" dark, Indians still are dark. They are brown people & always were brown

    Lamentations 4:8 Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick. Numbers 15:38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a RIBBAND OF BLUE: Psalm 69:25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents. Ezekiel 17:3,5,7 [3] And say, Thus saith the Lord God ; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar: [5] He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree. [7] There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation. Didn't you see the Olmec statues in Central America they aren't mongoloid. They have so called negroid features.Also there has been recent finding of bones there are negroid that are older than any mongoloid natives reseach it .And have you seen the drawings the artist made at the time of the 15th century? They depicted the natives as dark and wooly hair. they were like the Aborigines.So basically the Americas was a melting pot even in precolonial times. Believe me no one wants want to steal you honorable history much respect to you. Just know the black man is the oldest being on this planet , which mean every one's ancestor was once black. And this is the very reason the truth is kept from everyone and why they are set as the most hated race. also there really is no such thing as race. The elite Caucasian saw and still seeks to deal with different culture as a race or a competition. Hence the term. They use alot of wordplay. if you look back in history native even were classified as negro, this is documented. You can find old posters selling " native negros" in the 1500's, that later changed of course to fit those fake white 5 dollar natives . So they were selling the dark natives as slaves from early on .Also i notice how dark the natives were in the old photos. See people think they know their history but they have been tricked with the divide and conquer tactic .They were in all shades of color .Love and peace.

    There is NO such thing as "pure-blood". That was euro talk as in Hitler. Natives are far higher than this and one day you might learn that. In the meantime, it's ok to admit that you just don't like "black" and that's why you keep insulting. Fact: ALL PEOPLE were moving around, trading, being visited hundreds of years BEFORE 1500. If you don't even know that, then I leave you with your prejudice. You have a right to dislike "afro-centrist" but don't let that blind you.
