I think Brock at Rockhill did a good toothbar comparison. He tested 3 bars and decided that the piranha was his favorite. But he also laid out the plusses and minuses of each. Great job on the mod!

As soon as I heard your grinder turn on, I knew it wasn't long for this world. If your looking to replace the grinder, The Harbor Freight 8 amp is excellent for the money. I have had just about every make grinder over the years and have burned up just about all of them. 3 years ago I bought the 8 amp and have used and abused it. I was so impressed I bought a second one a year later. As my name brands die, I will replace them with this unit. My Craftsman, one of the last holdouts, is making the same noise so today I will go buy another one. They are on sale for $30. I have have 5 grinders, each with a different implement of destruction mounted up.

The Piranha is absolutely amazing and back dragging with it is very good. High angle back dragging is relatively aggressive and low angle back dragging will give a smooth finish.

Lucas: I just have the straight bar. It serves me well. Can't wait to see what you do next. I first thought that you were going to put the bucket on the side by side. Yikes!! Nice to see you are wearing a t-shirt. We are in almost deep freeze here. 😎

Great video pal! $80 for bucket! Can’t beat that. Way to be resourceful.

Great use of the old bucket. I would drill a few hole and bolt the ssqa to the bucket to make sure it they dont separate on u and a good tooth bar would look awesome on the bucket 😉

Man, don't kid yourself, you are definitely a tractor influencer!! Great job on the bucket but too bad your grinder lost its magic smoke. As far as a tooth bar goes, it depends on the kind of soil you have. Watch comparison videos from people in your area or with similar soil to see what works best. They all have strengths and weaknesses and you just might find the Kubota straight bar would do the best job.

I made a grapple from scratch without a plate, angles aren’t that bad. That said, I use a piranha for my BX. It’s solid enough that it is fine for back dragging. Not as aggressive as some. I use smaller surfaces if I need max leverage.

Should have just cut the whole rectangle out of bucket that the pin mounts were welded to

I would also suggest adding some bracing from the top of the bucket to the top of the adapter plate above the SAQA. There will be quite a bit of stress when lifting heavy loads in the bucket.

I have a BXpanded Piranha toothbar on my B series. It works well and has the ability to backdrag

Great video. I have the BX panded piranha tooth bar and have used it for over 5 years- you can’t bend or break it. You won’t be sorry buying it. Good company they stand behind there products more than anybody else.

Great video Lucas. I’d say it will make it pretty sweet to have multiple options.

We went with the BXPanded tooth bar. It is sharp, and just like a knee killer hitch don’t walk too close if you value the skin on your legs.

I picked up a vevor skid steer toothbar on Amazon. After some modifications I made it work. I have also done the weld on plate on my bucket.

Nice job. I have a Piranha tooth bar I bought a year and half ago when I bought my TYM 574 , and have not used it yet. I want to build me a stump bucket , I have 12 acres of nothing but scrub myrtle bushes all over the place, I could definitely put one to the test.
