My question is this. It’s a rental house - of college students on off campus but near by the school life. How long have they been residents of this house? Who were the residents of the last few years? The locks were electronic I heard.. did they change the code to get in the house? Did the old residents come back or did people who knew the old residents break in usuing old codes. Could the people who lived there before been involved with the wrong people? These types of houses have a lot of residents with a lot of associates. Idk just a thought.

Very similar to line along my thoughts. Do the current roomies interview potential roomies ? With the room up for rent was someone rejected recently or in the recent past... This sounds like an act of retaliation and rage filled revenge. It would seem a trivial motive to most but there have been murders for dumber reasons...like unfriended from FACEBOOK. College kids r too trusting too. I bet the code was rarely changed. Likely it was a student with a big grudge even if it was for a small reason. School shootings alone have proven this. This residence is very susceptible to surveillance due to it being built into the hillside and the apartment building parking lot being directly behind the residence at a higher elevation and hidden by trees. Also very good ingress/egress routes through the trees at the rear of the property. Once you’re up that slope at the rear, you’re on a road in a completely different neighbourhood. The killer could have come and gone through the rear treeline completely invisible.

The whole "targeted" thing has been basically irrelevant from the start of this case, because they never defined what it meant. Targeted could mean a vengeful act, a stalker, a burglary, a serial killer who picked that house, a random local with serious mental health issues who picked them as targets... it's a pointless word used without any additional context and the cops seemed to start using it when they were issuing other false statements that they've since walked back. Let's be real, unless there is information released showing that people were specifically targeted no one should consider that this means anyone else is safe.

It matters to people who live in the town, if it’s targeted because of revenge or they had some vendetta against the victims and not just a random attack : they don’t feel as unsafe. My gut feeling is Ethan and Xana were in bedroom C, right at the bottom of the stairs. And Maddie and Kaylee were probably in F, especially considering it had the nice deck and everything. And if it was that way, the bedroom under them would have been empty. And if the two in the basement were in the same room, maybe they were in bedroom B. Then no one would have been above them. Which would explain why they didn’t hear. That makes the most sense to me. But just speculating.

How they know about targeting is by the damage the murderer did to a specific body/bodies when compared to the other body's...that's not the only way to determine if people were targeted. But it's one way. And they don't want to give details because later when they question people they don't want people regurgitating what they heard on the news. The fbi is there with over 100 agents. I think I speak for everyone when I say it's better to take time and get the perpetrator then hurry through and then make someone a scapegoat. I think the news said they last had a homicide 5yrs ago. I know it's difficult , but let's be patient. Let's try and not be so critical of the depth or investigative techniques that are being employed. The majority of us have no formal background in murder investigations. That being said, hind sight is 20/20. There will plenty of time to point out wrongs in the investigation later. For now let's keep our eye on the prize and demonstrate some faith in the police abilities. Make no mistake, the FBI are the best investigators in the world. Let's give the process the time they need to do this the right way and get the person/persons responsable

Number two the way the first floor is the rooms aren’t aligned where u can hear above u except one of the rooms but Ethan and Xana were in tbe other one together and also, u forget they had parties ALL of the time! That’s why the first floor roomies locked their doors every night to prevent party goers from going in their rooms when asleep so they ARE use to hearing loud noise and sleeping through it! And 4 most importantly; they were all drunk passed out! All of them! Not that hard to comprehend esp when they’re all n bed most likely asleep and woke to several stabbings it was over before it even started for them. No noise to be heard! The roommates on first floor alresdy said they heard noise but assumed it was people coming to the house as they always did! Other students and people from the frat. It’s not like u just wake up and think “oh people are getting murdered upstairs.” Again the way the house was laid out also played a part. Not that hard to believe. At all!

Or... just maybe, and this is just my theory, Jack could have been the one to make the calls from the girls phones after the fact to cover his tracks, the girls supposedly got home with the new timeline at around 1:52 am, depending on their night time routines (they were already in pretty casual clothes at the food truck) I would say they maybe needed 10 minutes to get into bed, and if they were intoxicated like some people are reporting, they could've fallen asleep quite fast. If based on the rigor mortem the coroner suggests the killings happened between 3-4am, why couldn't they have happened at approximately 2:20am? And Xana and Ethans just before that on the 2nd floor, it would be a close call but if the lights were off and the killer was watching it is a possibility. Ethan and Xana may have just been killed as collateral damage, it is known Ethan was not in bed and potentially in the doorway, did he catch the killer? And with the door open it would've given Xana ample time to react hence the defensive wounds. Kaylee's dad also just stated Maddie and Kaylee were sharing a bed that night, Kaylee was graduating this fall sem and due to travel Europe in Jan, could Kaylee's room have been cleared out or mostly so already? is that why she slept with Maddie that night and was Maddie also just killed because they happened to be in the same bed? Most people in Idaho hunt, plus Jack is on the taller side and according to photos does have some muscle. He would definitely have the strength to commit this. LE also profiles the killer as being a first time killer with a targeted motive. My main question is how did Kaylee afford the new range rover (RRs start at $70k USD+) (I believe the family stated she bought this with her own money - also told her mom that she would take her out for breakfast, lunch and dinner - with her own money just the week after, so no, I don't think in this instance its from her family's financial support) and to backpack around Europe? She wasn't an influencer, I believe her insta account prior to the killings had around 2-3k followers, could the alternate income source have something to do with what Jacks motive was? Was he jealous? HE seems like the one who was mad, why was Kaylee begging him to come over in the texts if she had ended it? Maybe the story of why there were on a break isn't so clean cut as Kaylee just wanted some time off, maybe Jack ended it because of something he found out. Her and Jack were at the time on a break. Her last texts to Jack were along the lines of "come over, we share a dog, can we just talk". LE ruled him out as a potential suspect and the family is backing him publicly to no end, could this be to throw him off the scent so he lets his guard down? Even though Murphy was his (Jacks) dog too, there are new pap photos of him with Murphy seemingly off leash (www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11477433/Idaho-police-say-corroborate-one-victim-stalker.html#reader-comments) there are dogs who are impeccably well trained, he might have just known Murphy wouldn't leave the house - in regards to why the sliding door was left open Then there's the case of Bethany and Dylan the two surviving roommates and their 911 call, ALLEGEDLY after the call was made Ethan's brother Hunter and one of his best friends who people are stating was JACK DUCOEUR were called to this house... It is known that people were definitely in and out of the crime scene before LE arrived, if one of the people called was Jack or if he happened to respond to Kaylee's texts by coming over directly in the morning he could've infiltrated the crime scene with his DNA, giving a plausible explanation as to why his DNA was found everywhere the crime happened and therefore ruling him out as a suspect in polices eyes at least where DNA is concerned as it had already been compromised.

What bothers me is how NO ONE is talking about how Kaylee afforded all she did by herself, if she had a company, we would've seen it in her social media, if she modelled, probably the same, if she had a job, we would've heard about it like we did Maddie and Xana's, so how does one afford a 70,000 dollar car? just so unbelievably sad...

You put together your theory very well, and at this point it is as plausible as any other good theory. I'm also theorizing it is another student whom has been at the house during a party. Someone with not such a solid connection to them as Jack evidently. Someone aloof, a loner, a serious introvert, someone with a budding mental illness and/or someone whom have been dreaming about their first kill for a long time. A budding serial killer so to say. It may have been nothing more personal ( as a motive) other than that this group of very attractive and evidently pretty popular people somehow sparked off the - Yes, these ones are going to be my first ones, decided! But as said, at this point, with no groundbreaking new info coming out, all one can do is theorize within a very broad framework.

I find it very odd that nobody ever made mention there was another roommate what gender, what age ,what affiliation, what were they involved in and could they perhaps have been gone because they knew that they were in threat of danger? This case seems to have more holes in it then Swiss cheese. Why was this other occupant on the hush-hush why was it not spoken of before by anybody that resided there that is living. Two people downstairs must have sleeping disorders didn’t hear a thing? Could be possible hard to believe though.

Well some of them were either moving out or had moved out. A few of them were scheduled to graduate early in December. So maybe the property owner wanted to advertise ahead of time to get tenants in place by the start of the next term. The 6th roommate was most likely another college student either a current or former student. This house was allocated as student housing.

I'm so tired of this narrative about the roommates. The police have said that these kids were killed in their sleep. Madison and Kaylee were killed in the same bed.. this means that people were killed without the other victims hearing anything since they remained sleeping as well. They likely didn't have time to scream if they were asleep and fatally wounded. It's really not that difficult to fathom. They were stabbed- it's not like there were a bunch of gunshots that people claim to have slept through. Leave the roommates alone!!! I'm sure they are more than traumatized over this.

The whole "targetted" thing could actually have a simple, logical answer...just one that the investigation shouldn't have released like they did! Everybody is asking (in a rather snarky manner), "How would the police even KNOW if it was a targeted attack?" Well, here ya go... IF 3 of the victims were stabbed through the neck or chest and killed almost instantly...and the 4th victim was stabbed 30 times or more or stabbed and beaten...or their stab wounds went to the bone, etc, etc. Those attacks are generally very personal, meaning it was not some random murderer (hence a targeted attack). Simple, once you think about it logically. And if that's the case, the police probably don't want that information in the public sphere, possibly alerting the killer! Loose lips sink ships! 😉

What do you think about the value of this house where the crime was commited? Based on a size and location it was a great place to live out of campus, but for the owner probably a good source of income. That horrible crime makes it impossible to rent it out at least for a long period of time...What if the house itself was a subject of deal or dispute between for ex. co-owners...? It was said that maybe the house was targetted not students themselves?
