Everything in moderation! My father was a Doctor, a GP. He would tell us growing up that we should never fully trust what some group tells us what is good or bad for us when it comes to food. Eat what you want, when you want, but always in moderation. Don't eat steak every day, or pasta every day, or white bread every day. He never said don't eat it at all, just keep it balanced and in moderation. That holds true for alcohol, pop drinks, and even coffee. Moderate it and keep away from excess.

Well said. I think all this focus on carnivore diets, keto diets, etc can be replaced with this rule - moderation. Eat a variety of things, try to avoid certain things like refined sugar/processed foods, but don't set yourself up for failure by trying to permanently abstain from certain foods. Moderation and exercise is what most need to stick by.

@Aberrant Pegasus Real question(not backhanded or argumentative): Have you ever sat down and thought about those why values are so appealing to you and to the rest of us? Did man create them? The fact is, there is a creator and he created the universe as well as the atom. He is personal and we can see that in nature. He came down from heaven to show us how to live on earth then he took our rightful punishment so that we can live with this freedom Cody is speaking of. This freedom is found in Jesus Christ alone. My intent is only to speak kindly that you may possibly evaluate why you like Cody's speech and principles so much. He is trying to be more like who Jesus says he is than what the world says. Thanks for your time.

One thing that bugs us that some KZread channels I used to enjoy are now basically turning into tv studios, that's why I enjoy this channel so much because it's just you with a nice camera and good editing. Jake Edgington True, but the internet can connect these gated communities, and spiral them far further down a dark rabbit hole than if they remained separate. Tough love is hard to dispense on any medium. People refuse to self reflect on what they may find coming their way. As an atheist and a staunch conservative, I find myself conflicted when the conversation turns from facts to fiction. Just thinking you know something without a shred of evidence, and declaring it as truth - is a big turn off. How does an intelligent individual turn off one's BS radar when it comes to one subject, but has it up and running and calibrated to the highest level of accuracy in ALL other things in their life?

Over 30 years since I had a drink. I have no problem with anyone else drinking moderately; I have a problem with my own inability to drink moderately. When someone tells me they think perhaps drinking is becoming a problem for them and want to know whether they are an alcoholic, my response is, stop drinking and find out. If you are not an alcoholic but believe that alcohol is more negative than positive for you, just give it up. If it's easy for you, you've lost nothing. If it's hard for you to live without alcohol, then you shouldn't drink. If you really want to stop and find you can't, then you need help. Having said all that, I keep beer and wine to serve to my guests because the majority of my friends can have a drink or two without needing to have the next 12. After the first few years, by the grace of god, the memory of the devastation wrought in my own life has always been enough that I have no temptation to have a drink myself. I'd drink the drain cleaner under my sink before I'd drink a Crown and 7 again. All that to say drinking is a problem for some, not for others. If it is a problem for you, don't do it. If you can enjoy it without consequences, awesome.

Black being wrong thinking, cheating on each other, hating, fighting the good. White is thinking that promotes the good, loving each other, fightinhg for good. Gray is not good, because it is still wrong thinking, Gray is easy. It is saying I'm only a little wrong. No matter what they do they never cross over to the good. Good is hard. It is regecting the gray and staying firmly in the white.

The term politically correct gets thrown around a lot around me, I'm a senior in a public school in New York. There aren't many Christian's and I've seen many of my friends turn from God a claim atheism. It saddens me, and I haven't been the best Christian myself and they'll sometimes call me out on it. But that means they're watching, they know what ought to be done and can tell when I slip up. All we can do is love them, even when its incredibally hard too.

Keep the faith. Fight the good fight of faith. Put on the full armour of God everyday. Praying for your witness, even when we as followers of Jesus do not "measure up." Jesus uses all things. For we know that all things work together for good, for those who are the called, according to His purpose. Praying for you in New York. Shine for Jesus as a city on a hill. Be salt, too. Flavourful and makes all food better, in the correct amount. Preserves, so that food will last a long journey or through the non-harvest time. Valuable, as salt was payment/wages for the Roman soldier.

Through unity we shall survive And we'll never stop being the best men we can be. No matter what the opposition. Also you're right, we are the silent generation. We range from folks my age fresh out of high school to Jack, still in adolescence. But we are here. Ready and waiting for our turn at the helm. We are ready to grow up and set the world right. We will be the force that turns the tide... Alright, enough chest thumping... Excellent work as always Cody Best wishes. Vive la resistance.

"Leave it to Beaver" was a great family series on TV in the 1950's I grew up with. Furry, The Real McCoy's, Lassie are just a few great family shows on TV when I was young. Man, life has changed in the last two generations. My grandfather was born in the 1880's and he was in WWI, he was a great outdoors man and did many extraordinary things like homestead land in Alaska. The way the world changed for him was lost to me until I grew old myself. He grew up without electricity, running water and refrigeration and before the automobile. He died in 1980, he saw man land on the moon, had TV and a telephone and saw huge changes in the world! It just boggles my mind what we have done to this beautiful world in just the past 250 years. The Western US was not even settled yet and there were very few people who saw it's wonderful mountains and country. All of the cities, roads, pipelines and electrical lines strung for thousands and thousands of miles have been completed in just the past 10 generations here in the western US! It is just crazy what people can accomplish when they want to and how quickly we can destroy something so beautiful without trying to! The fact that we accomplished all of this in such a short period of time gives me some hope that it is possible to repair some of the terrible things we have done to our Mother Earth! It is good people like you and your family Cody that can help bring the changes needed to make this world a better place for all of the life God put on this world. Not just for people, all the animals, trees and plants and even insects, we all need to share this beautiful Earth to make things better for all! I apologize for the again long post.

We are all solar, off grid now for almost 20 years. We haven’t watched TV for that amount of time. We considered Netflix but now Obama’s are ceos Even Disney is on the propaganda wagon against normal male/ female families. I raised a strong female away from most of this. Women’s lib use to be about women choice to be anything. The woman who honors family children nurturing is no longer valued. RN for 40 years. Young nurses no longer value bedside nursing. Everyday I work with super educated with elevated degrees who see success as being in an office no longer caring for people. Work everyday to bring back knowledge to those who had knowledge educated out of them.

We are very excited to have another child in fact and grow our family and the love we share with each other. When I come back from basic military training here in Canada we will be having another child, God willing. I have always treated my two Daughters just as they are, two beautiful, smart and strong WOMEN and whatever they choose to do with their lives and careers I will support them 100% as long as they do so with conviction and integrity. My wife is a stay at home mother and homemaker. She had gone to college, had a career and truly felt un fulfilled. We made the decision together to change everything about our lives and have never been happier. As usual God Bless you and your family. You and your family are in my prayers.

I'm 20 and hold a full time trade job as do most of my friends, including one running his own shipping company at 21. I enjoyed your message and shared it all around. My wife and I have been married 51 years. It has not all been easy. One thing I must mention that has affected marriages and relationships is feminism. The "I am woman hear me roar" came to a crescendo during the time we were first married, and continues today, Code Pink being a good example. Aborting babies, and never submitting to the husband as head of the family goes along with all this. Don't get me wrong, men are to blame too. Men being out of touch with God has opened the door to this.

Cody I worked in the graphic arts as a darkoom specialist through the late 70's and through the 80's. So many women are in that field and trust me it is a dog eat dog arena to say the least. The majority of female graphic artists were in that exact age group you mentioned. I worked the night shift and I saw the saddest of sad, the bitterest of bitter, the angriest of the angry and the loneliest of lonely women for years. All that mattered was that career that truthfully most of those women grew to hate but had no experience in anything else. Most of them had boyfriends and some had husbands but I'm guessing the reason the majority had no children was that they bought into that 'we're waiting for the right time' to have kids. It truly is sad and I doubt much has changed since then, maybe even worse.
