Ooh cool! Loved the Lane Chest! I found a Lane coffee table at a thrift store a few yrs back for $5.00 and sold it for $100.00. So I know the value of Lane. Sue I love the outfit! Jos..I would love a video of you spending time in the Jewlery isle or a video of all vintage jewelry. I’ve discussed my fascination with vintage jewelry to Sue. Luv ya ladies!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if that cedar chest is going to be anywhere near children call Lane for a lock replacement! Lane was sued years ago when children were getting stuck inside cedar chests. It's really simple to call them and they send you a very easy to install replacement latch. I buy to resell and our shop has a warning posted for dealers and consignors about the recall. And I agree with the others, Sue that color looks amazing on you!

Ahhhh🤪🤪I went to the bins for the first time today. Not for the faint hearted. I touched a lady’s cart, by mistake mind you...I thought she was going to beat me up. 😂 I admire you for your bravery. ✌️

My husband calls it “vampires” ... the vampire stole your item off the shelf. Never, Ever place something you may want back on the shelf until you absolutely know you do not absolutely want it. ❤️ u 2.

My mom expects me to keep her cedar hope chest. I only wish it was as small as that $25 one in this video.

Unfortunately barkeepers friend won’t save dishwasher damage. It’s more for utensil scrapes. If you see one with a bunch of gunk on it or if there’s gray scrapes from silverware, THAT can be saved with barkeepers friend. Not dishwasher damage though. :(

The screw in the bottom of the wine bottle is into a rubber stopper. When you tighten the screw the rubber stopper expands and holds the two pieces together.

Oooo! I really liked that glass apple, in front of the brass seductive angel.15:12 or so. I think it was a controlled bubble apple? Nice finds today, ladies!

The lids on those Pyrex dishes are worth more than what you are paying for the dish with lid.

Love Sue's outfit! Great color & style! Glad you are getting the Lane chest but be sure to install an escape key mechanism inside. For older Lane chests you had to order one from Lane because kids were climbing into them and locking themselves in!

It's a Kurta and it is Indian

Bar Keeper’s Polish. You can get it at Walmart for a couple of dollars. It has a thousand uses. Stainless steel sinks , pots and pans, removing baked on gunk from Pyrex. It requires strong hands and elbow grease, but it does miracles.🌸🦋

I don’t have a dime to spare for thrifting. I can’t even get enough groceries for the month. Someone who’s a farmer leaves vegetables on my doorstep . I think it is God’s grace taking care of me. So you and Sue are a special blessing to me also. I get to go along thrifting with you. So Everyday I go with you guys (and/or your “hubbie” and cute kids).

Lots of coconut oil on the refrigerator dishes, let them sit for half an hour then polish. Makes them like new😊

Woohoo! what a steal on the cedar chest! I visited 2 Goodwill stores yesterday. Ever since I started watching your videos I am much more discerning about what I buy! I learn something almost every video.

I want to put a towel or blanket in the bottom of your cart to prevent chips!!!!🙈😂

Can’t wait for tomorrow! You always find such great stuff. My problem is I find stuff and I fall in love with it😂 plus I look it up and it never sells for as much as I think it’s worth. Such as I found a beautiful Hull tulip vase in PERFECT condition. I look it up on EBay and people are selling them for $10... I paid $2. But come on it’s worth more than $10! I’ll put it on Etsy for $25. It will probably sit with no buyers but I think it’s worth $25 for surviving from the 30’s until now in perfect condition. I also found a cute Hull puppy planter that sells for $17. But I’m in LOVE... sooooo😂 I found a McCoy deer planter that I’m keeping to throw succulents in. Some other old china pieces that just don’t sell and it breaks my heart so I’m going to repurpose them into something fun... candle, succulent holder, or a fun vintage Christmas scene with bottle top trees.... something to give then a new life without destroying. I think of the tables they sat on and the woman who drank tea or coffee from them. They were loved. They have a history Pier one can’t duplicate. I had a fun 3 hours thrifting under $20 and brought home 5 bags of “stuff”. Honestly where else can you get that sort of cheap entertainment (with your husband who enjoys it too). We used to thrift together many moons ago but haven’t done it in years. We just got caught up in raising our babies and then I got sick. I’m still sick but I can manage a few hours out and it’s wonderful to be out with my man. He knows when I’m done and need to go home. Thank you for reminding us how fun thrifting can be. Now to turn my junk into treasures. My mother in law is helping me do a Bizarre this fall. I hope my health holds up so I can be there. If not my husband, daughter and Mother in law will sell my stuff. I already have boxes of stuff💜

You are looking at the lazy Suzanne on the right and I'm drooling over the one of the left! It's Bar Keepers Friend. The stuff is amazing. If you have a dishwasher, put that in there with no dishes and left it go through the cycle and it clears your dishwasher.

I love the ebb and flow of thrifting. You never know what to expect. Some days it's loaded and some days it's not, but today it was loaded and you and Sue found a lot. How marvelous when you find loads of goodies. Your store there is so nice and clean and well organized. Our Gw is so piled high that I have never been there once when I didn't hear the sound of crashing glass. This last time in fact I kept finding broken things on shelves, from a porcelain doll with a broken to dagger sharp leg, to broken glass plates. It was seriously dangerous. I even found a long sharp glass tipped straight pin sticking out of one of the shelves in the toy section. I shop with extreme caution now and keep my eyes open to possible dangers, as no one seems to care how haphazard things are placed. What a great score on Sue's part with that Lane cedar chest you don't see those every day and in such good condition and great price. When it wouldn't open at first I kept saying, "Press the button, push the button!" ha ha ha My mom has a huge old Lane cedar chest from way back when I was a kid and it has that very same push button latch. As usual this was a barrel of laughs girlfriends and such good fun, you joke and laugh with the employee's which is great. I'm sure they appreciate it. When you picked up the carolers I noticed a Japanese seated man that was a traditional Hakata clay doll or figurine. They book for $25 to $100+ depending on the mark. He was kneeling wearing a black traditional coat!

That Lane cedar chest is exactly the same as the one I used to have. Given to me back around 1960 or around by my neighbor to start my hope chest.
