I'm going with White Shark. Because it's very rare for a Tiger to get that big.

There have been a few Great White sightings off Portlock further out. It’s def possible due to the size, but we will never know.

When I was younger, I paddled. There were always sharks 🦈 all around the islands. So yes, you never know what's underneath you. But remember to be careful and always still have fun. Life's too short 😊

@@humanbean1424 Like the guy said, there’s only so many large sharks that are known to be in the area… although he missed makos, it’s rare, but they’re around. It’s clearly not a whale shark, makos aren’t as wide as this shark was, they’re shaped more like torpedos & honestly if it were a mako it probably would’ve followed them, they’re pretty aggressive & have strong predatory aggression… you know how when people get stranded at sea and they talk about being hunted while they were in their rafts?… it’s almost always makos, to me it’s seems like makos enjoy the hunt. I couldn’t see any markings to indicate it was a tiger (but admittedly it’s hard to tell from this video) & tigers aren’t as wide around the gills as this shark is, great whites are. It could be a tiger, it’s hard to tell from this video, but it looks more like a great white to me. But you know, I only studied marine biology for 3 years, & apparently know more than the expert they brought on, so 🤷🏽‍♀️.

@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom Well, based on my observations through many years of curiosity which had me going down a plethora of rabbit holes, I would say for a matter of fact that what you see in this here video is some kind of marine life.

I wish I had the money to get one of those big see through kayaks. Id loose so much weight just padding around all day searching for sharks, stingrays, and reef fish. Id come back looking like a boiled lobster tho. I wonder if you can fit out riggers to that kind.

The chances of getting attacked or killed by a shark are tiny but they increase a lot if you enter their habitat. It's like they say, ... You can't win the lottery if you don't play.
