Great White Shark Caught, Tagged, Released For Science

Ойын-сауық

The shark, named Mary Lee, was tagged off of Cape Cod, MA in 2012 by nonprofit research group OCEARCH. Her tracker’s radio ping caught the 3,456 pound (1,568kg) animal navigating the waters off of Jones Beach in New York in May 2015.

Meli Vakalalavanua his “Balls of Steel” would be chomped up by the shark. That guy is an idiot. He was too eager to jump in the water. He didn’t even have to jump in at all... that platform was doing all the work. So, Balls of steel vs. Brain of JackAss?

Love you guys. What a brilliant device the cradle is. All shark research should be done this way. So quick, safe and clever. I was one of those people that the movie Jaws made me afraid of sharks but after watching your documentaries I love them! I have purchased all seasons of the series. Just LOVE watching you guys. Keep up the great work. We need to save the Great White Shark!

But in a much nicer way. These men truly respect Sharks, and are only doing this because Sharks are so threatened. Notice they gave the Shark a means of oxygen by inserting two tubes of running water into her mouth. The water runs over the Shark's gills and allows her to have a means of some breathing, so she doesn't suffer suffocation. They also work fast so she doesn't have to spend too long out of the water, and they covered her eyes to help keep her calmer.
