Hi there, I wanted to ask, if there are any rules to follow as a cyclist in Singapore like forbidden roads or bridges. Because I come in March to Singapore with my bicycle and wanna do some tours. For example, when I wanna cross the bridge to Sentosa island, is it allowed as a cyclist? I checked it on google maps and it looks like only for cars.

Hi Frank, yes you can generally ride on bridges including the road bridge leading to Sentosa together with the cars. But it is strictly forbidden to ride on the expressways (named PIE/CTE/AYE/MCE/BKE/SLE/TPE/ECP). You can ride on West Coast Highway/Lornie Highway there is no rule against this and it is common for cyclists to do that

@@thewinsty Ok, that are many abbreviations for the highways 😮 Hopefully I never enter one accidentally. Are there also signs, which show, that bicycles are forbidden or do I need to check out these abbreviations? Have you also an example in the east or/and south of a forbidden highway? Thank you for your clues.
