Hi Hayley! Don't watch the golden compass film before you read the book. The film is terrible so make sure you read the book first they are brilliant

Catherine Duke I Fourth this
My mom has been collecting the little golden books for YEARS and she just gave me the entire collection. Altogether there are well over 300 of them. My two year old and I have already read so many of them. Those books are the best!

My Grandmother has a collection too. I still read them sometimes when I go over there!
Yes! Philip Pullman is my favourite author and I know you'll love the Golden Compass and the rest of the His Dark Materials trilogy. The first book in the Book of Dust trilogy (Belle Sauvage) comes out on the 19th of October. So plenty of time to read His Dark Materials :)
Frankenstein is my very favorite classic of all time. So far I have 3 copies & I hope to expand my collection of it like you have with Alice. I had to read it my senior year of highschool and fell absolutely in LOVE. I really hope you enjoy it!! I'm excited to hear your thoughts once you get around to reading it at some point.
I love Wind in the Willows! Ratty and Mole have such a lovely friendship ☺
You can get the looking glass wars on book outlet. They have the whole series
Oh! Excited to see Frankenstein and Wind in the Willows. Those are two of my favourite books of all time. Both are masterfully written.
That copy of Through The Looking Glass is stunning omg
Seeing Hailey so enthuastic does and continues to remind me how much I freaking love reading. I have found so many fab books from your videos! And your happiness is catchy....😂
Everything All at Once is my favorite book of the year so far!

The Wind in the Willows is fabulous. Toad is the greatest.

I just wanted to let you know that I've recently started creating content for booktube because you've inspired me so much. All I can say is THANK YOU :)
I am so super glad that someone else collects different editions of the same book!!! I currently own 6 different versions of Alice and always search the charity shops for different copies!!! Xx
I LOVE the last two!! ❤
Aww I have all my childhood classics in the classics starters version the memories ❤️
I haven't read a lot of classics but I really enjoyed Frankenstein. I'm so happy to see you with a copy of The Golden Compass too! I love that so many people are reading it because of Pullman's upcoming release. I lovelovelove His Dark Materials. I hope you love it as much as I do and continue on with the series!

Ahhh John King bookstore!! It's crazy you're so close to Detroit! I love that bookstore !
Little golden books were my favorite as a kid! I'm going to start buying them for my litter sister and nephew. ❤
Looooved this!
I love Out of the Easy!
Out of Easy I need to pick up too, I loved Ruta's other two books and cannot believe I still haven't read this one!
I'm so beyond excited for fall, I have so many books saved for the season haha I actually never know what to read in the summer because I pretty much only read fantasy and I don't really like contemporaries (you're one of the few people who introduced me to them !)
Totally agree with that cover buy of Wicked Like a Wildfire - that edition is gorgeous. Also jealous of your Barnes and Noble edition of Wind in the Willows - gutted they don't ship to New Zealand :(
So many great books! I need to buy some of those. I hope you like Frankenstein! 💜😊
You are not alone in not liking Halloween. Same here really
Who else is just dying to see these upcoming writing vlogs??😩😩
I'm currently reading ACOWAR too!!
Yassssssssssss Frankenstein, my bae in book form
I had a lot of those golden editions.
Yaaaaay luv u hailey!!
I have those collectible editions of Jane Austen, Steinbeck, Poe, Shakespeare, the first five Oz novels, Sherlock Holmes Vol. I and II, Grimm's Fairytales, Dickens, and Anne Rice.
Little Golden Books were my childhood!
There's a Disney movie based on the Wind in the Willows! It's called the Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and they have a ride based on it at Disneyland!
I just finished Frankenstein! It is so GOOD! Could you do like a read-o-discussion on it plz?
can you do a updated bookshelf tour
Hope you love Frankenstein, it is one of my favorite classics!
the absolutely true diary of a part time Indian is such a good book,it's super interesting, very funny and I honestly thought that I would dislike because I thought it was gonna be a history novel but it's not its so amazing and you will fall right in at page one.I couldnt put this book down,I remember folding clothes and not wanting to stop reading.Super glad that you decided to read it!!
Where dit you bought your chair?? It look so cozy! Love ya! ❤️❤️
I really enjoyed "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie. I also hope to read "Frankenstein" for October. It been quite a while since I was on college and my major was not in Literature. I started getting into classics last year and trying to slip them into my TBR books every month. I would love to hear what classics you plan to read.
great video. luv ur vids😍
We read the absolute true diary of a partime indian in class, it was amazing, i loved it!
Writing update!!!!!
You've bought some really nice books. I love the Barnes and Nobles editions, they are so pretty
I was able to read The Absolutely Time for a Part Time Indian my junior year of high school.
You have soooooo many editions of Alice 😱 I don't typically pick up classics either but kind of want to! I don't really like Halloween either!!
I love Out of the Easy! Her writing isn't as good as in Between Shades of Grey or Salt to the Sea, but the storyline makes up for it! Josie is such a likeable character! Please make sure to let us know what you think!
hey hailey, when halloween/fall comes, it'd be nice if you could do a book recs video. I need some books to read. LOVE YOUUU:)
I recently bought and FINALLY read for the first time alice and through the looking glass. And I absolutely loved them!! I did want to share with you though, the edition I bought since you are a collector. The one I got is illustrated by Kriss Sison and has both books in one. Unfortunately it is only available in paperback. Now, the illustrations are "manga inspired" which I know is not for everyone. But if you can get past that, you'll come to find some really cute and beautifully drawn illustrations! It doesn't have that classic feel to it, I know, but I really enjoyed them and was just as excited to see which illustration I was to encounter next as I was with what was to happen next in the story. I recommend you check it out if you haven't done so before, preferably in person so you can skim through it to see how sweet and funny and beautiful the drawings are inside. I understand if that's not your liking but hopefully you give it a shot. :)
Can you do a magical recommendations? With new books we haven't seen that much?
You must read Out of the Easy! I loved that book and read it in a day!
Lol I see a Tims on your bottom bookshelf!!
Can you tell us your opinion about paper towns from john green please ?
When I was little I used to chew on the spines of the Little Golden Books. I forgot all about it until you brought it out and I could just taste it! 😂 you wouldn't want my used editions of the LGBs...
You bought After Alice! Enjoy.
The absolutely true diary is really good and funny. I recommend the audiobook which is also narrated by the author.
I just read the golden compass for school ;))
How much of Cassandra Clare's books have you read? What's your opinion on them?
You should do another video about books you unhauled
DO A FALL READING GUIDE!!!!!
Yay for book hauls lol Have you read Dracula?
You are right about Popović surname haha just to let you know!👍
Sleepy Hollow is one of my favourite classics!!! And it's not that scary, don't worry :)
I read The Absolutely True Diary in my freshman year of high school. It blew my mind.
I knew there would be more Alice haha
U can never have enough versions of Alice nice move mom! Hope your kitty is feeling better. I think your gonna love wind in the Willows one of my favorites. Just got a copy of the looking glass wars off E-Bay love Alice an U made me aware it existed so it's on it's way.
I'm curious if you've seen the Alice in Wonderland with manga illustrations. It's pretty amazing. Frankenstein is one of my favorite books!
If you've not read Philip Pullman, I really hope you like it. If you do like the His Dark Materials Series and you like her writing, maybe look at his Sally Lockhart Searies as well, 18th Century Mysteries with a brilliant female protagonist.
If you liked The Gentlemen's Guide then you might like the TV show, Versailles.
please do a video about the controversy around "handbook for mortals"! i dont see many book youtubers talking about it!
Have you seen the dolls of Alice in wonderland they are so beautiful seen them at toysrus .Also do u get discounts at work for your books. You do work at a book store right??
Hi hailey can you do a full review of alice in wonderland please. I would love to hear your opinion about the story.
Is through the looking glass a different book from Alice in wonderland?
Speaking of children's classic books, I'm currently reading Tuck Everlasting, and I'm really liking it so far. Have you ever read that book? And if so, what did you think of it? 😊
Ugh.. I just read the golden compass and the subtle knife and both were FANTASTIC. HOWEVER I'm trying to get through the amber Spyglass now and it's such a letdown I'm struggling to get through it and I'm so disappointed. Sometimes I think I might have been better off only reading the golden compass and leaving it at that.
