I saw Allen perform with his awesome band a few years ago at the Iconic "Pappy & Harriet's" in Pioneer Town , California and it was like seeing him perform in my living room. One of the greatest musical experiences of my life.

Just when I thought Allen couldn't blow my mind anymore I find this song. Good grief the talent this young man has is out of this world.

Also, l agree Matt. I hear lots of Stevie Wonder influence in Allen and Matt Corby. I know Allen is a big fan of Matt. Allen wrote this song for his wife and first sang it for her at their wedding. Beautiful.

For a great live performance, check out his version of Bob Marley's "Is This Love" live at Bonnaroo. Such an incredible vocal performance and a really cool rethinking of that song. He essentially rearranges it from being a Reggae song into a Gospel song. So damn lovley.

That video is so fantastic. Just watched Michael Palmisano's reaction to Allen singing " Is this Love" and it's amazing. Allen's band is so tight. The fact he is still directing them while singing the lead is really impressive.

Love his soulful voice, he does a great cover of John Farnhams song “burn for you”

From what I’ve read, he met these two back up singers at a karaoke night and invited them to record this version of the song with him. He’s from Washington. You should checkout his song “Unaware Live from His moms living room.”

so He is from WA state. He is married to an Australian woman. He lives in the Spokane WA area and he has played many venues in Seattle and Portland area for years.

He has a podcast that you can watch on youtube called - How goods this- and he has collaborated with Teddy Swims, Daryl Hall, Jamie Lidell and so many more. He is phenomenal.

This guy comes from a little town in Northeastern Washington near my hometown. He is a home grown local boy. If you want a truly cool version of this song try the official version where he is on stage in a small theater(his near by local town). This song has a string quartet accompanying him. The acoustics are amazing! If you have not heard his Unaware yet. Give that one a listen. He often will sing at his Mom's house... Real cool dude. It is like having Stevie Wonder re-born... 😊 The theater in the Video is The Bing theater. Named after Bing Crosby as Spokane is his adopted home town. Played there as a young hoofer as my Dad used to say. As he saw Bing sing in local venues as a young singer. The theater is a fine example of cool art deco kind of styling. Totally restored, as is the Fox Theater also in Spokane, as is the Davenport Hotel also an old classic Hotel(think golden age of Hollywood) also restored. 👍God I'm lucky... We have a symphony too... Also how many places can you live where you have deer and moose waunder in your yard yet still be ten minutes from downtown, live 30 minutes or less from the lake(within an hour of dozen lakes or more) and close to ski resorts, and a major airport. Have deer wander downtown, and so many things in one place let alone great entertainment venues in a smaller town vibe. Love it here! Allen Stone is just icing on the cake when he comes home. 😊

Glad someone helped you find Allen. He's been around a while now, sings mostly at smaller venues. First hit I heard was called Unaware. He's now doing very well in the American Song Contest-televised on NBC and has moved onto the finals with a song called A Bit of Both. Love him

​@@nerd1858Yup. That is right. He comes into Spokane to perform at like the Bing or the Fox Theater when he is in town. One of his recordings was in the Bing I believe. That one is a better rendition I believe as he dedicated it to his wife.
