I actually have been the map in a tournament with them on Kyoto, so much fun and it works so well by tricking players with the pyro Grenada when they think they are safe

1:40 people think you can just run in and spam mouse 1, but it's way more involved than that

It's crazy when you get into the flow what you can do as melee. I got 4 kills with dual blades within just a few seconds in PS and some of it was blocking, dodging, and attacking. But you really have to be on your A-game to do that well

A few days ago I played a game of cash out and I got a medium player that was legitimately good at using the healing beam. I was running the spear and mesh shield. That medium helped me get 22 elims and I only died twice. There was another heavy running flamethrower and mesh. We were gods among men. It made me realize that spear and mesh pair very well. Honestly even better than the winch claw.

As someone who has gone up against Ronin using Dual Blades, I can confidently say *Screw you and have a good day Ronin*

That's an absolutely right word: annoy. It is not fun to fight against double swords. It's annoying.

Question: in cashout, how do you deal with double heavy + medium if you have dual blades? Because so far I just assume I'm screwed if I see a heavy with a shotgun or their own melee options.

It’s really just a matter on if your opponents know how to deal with dual blades. They aren’t the strongest weapon, but if you don’t bring them into comp you should be fine

The dual blades are a pefect example of "Fun to use, annoying to fight against"

Dematerializer, it’s an alternate choice instead of heal beam or turret

it's so sad that melees aren't that good in cashout and TA, it's pretty fun to play with them

I have it on for dual blades, but I sometimes turn it off for weapons like dagger

You will still take damage, but its 80% reduced from projectiles like bullets, recurve arrows, and throwing knives. Still take full damage from environment, fire, and grenades/mines/gas. Regardless… the deflect is pretty busted 😂

yea the Dual blades aren't really meta but they're really fun if you're not into sweating a lot

Yeah that's cool and everything, but it's Powershift. Every melee finds its purpose in Powershift, Dual blades in cashout or TA is pretty useless.

Dual blades are useless. You are not helping your team at all. If enemies are not stupid they just basically avoid contact with you and kill your teammates.

Nah, it's actually really weak. You have to directly and I mean DIRECTLY look at the enemy so that it works. It also only deflects were your swords are on your character model. Someone did a few tests and discovered that there are several spots were the deflect just doesn't reach. Your legs and prefectly inbetween your swords in front of you are just not covered. This doesn't evem account for when the enemy is above or below you. You and your enemy can stand perfectly still and you can look directly at them, but if they're on a roof or so the deflect just won't work. Dual Blades actually really need a buff to be viable in anything but the most casual of modes.
