Thanks to all who participated! This was an epic challenge and we all are looking forward to The Viking Challenge!

I thought your silver damascus katana was cooler than the other winners. What I'd call the Ginkuro Mikadzuki (silver/black crescent moon) sword came out sick. A real work of art.
Really nice display of talent on this challenge. Can’t wait to see the axes, spears, knives, and (hopefully) swords for the Viking challenge.
Thanks to all of the challengers, judges, viewer-paticipants, and sponsors for the event .... always love seeing the creative design, manufacturing processes, and finish work for these blades.
Congrats to the winners! This was an amazing challenge to follow.
Congrats JP and John. Glad you got recognized for your excellent work!
"Nothing to it, really" Congratulations!!!! You earned it!

Congrats To Everyone- Such Awesome Builds!!😃🔥🔥🔥
Wow!.that's awesome 👌
Congrats to JP. Wish I had the time to watch them all.
Congrats to the winners but that one must have been tough to judge!!

It was! All the builds were so good!
Great challenge, congrats to the winners!
Congrats JP!! I had a feeling as soon as I saw your video!!.
The winners are the folks who watched all the builds being created into art. Such amazing talent across the board! Please consider doing a native American challenge in the future. I realize there is not the wide selection of arms as there are in a Viking or Samurai scenario but hey, this is a challenge after all! I think showing some attention to lesser known groups would bring some recognition and fun.
Good job everyone they all were amazing builds
This series has been fun to watch and see these pretty swords come to life. The only sour note to me was seeing so many smiths forge a curved sword and call it a katana instead of curving a straight sword via differential hardening.
Awesome builds all the way around!
Heck yeah eh gotta give er a go for the viking challenge sounds fun eh
It’s been a blast! Thanks for organizing everything, Denis!

@@TyrellKnifeworks If I make the draft I’ll bring my A game this time!
Not surprised great work💯🙏🙌
I will definitely try to enter into the viking challenge. It seems like a really interesting genre of blades, so I am excited to see what you make!

@@TyrellKnifeworksI've got a question, is it OK to start the damascus now or do we need to wait until the official start? Also, may we have someone help forge the damascus?
@TyrellKnifeworks

@@RileyPierce_ wait until it actually starts, there may be conditions. It will be announced in a few weeks. You may work with someone as you wish as long as it’s original work for this build and not something that was previously done n

Does the Juan P. guy, the Viewer Challenge Winner, have an online presence where we could see more of his work?

Juan is Jesus' brother (who won the YT Participant portion). He doesn't appear in any of his videos that I know of though.
WOW 👌. The First Place is very similar to what I want. Is it for sale and does it have the matching Wakizashi and Tanto Swords as well 🤔 ❓️

Reach out to JP on his channel. Leave a message on his video.
All great builds I'm sad that PJT didn't make into the top 3 though Really liked the uniqueness of his build

He was really close! I did love that build!
I really liked the 3rd place one and personally didn’t care for the 1st place one with the faked copper patina. John’s Katana from the Judges was sweet but so was the Tyrell Knifeworks Katana but I think where his went wrong was milling the fuller in as an afterthought and it exposed the silver kind of erratically but was an awesome build otherwise

If I had thought about it before I still would have done it exactly the same way. 😉
When in Jan is the Viking Challenge and how does one participate?
@TyrellKnifeworks

Join the FaceBook group: KZread KnifeMaker Challenge. That is were all the rules are posted. There will be an annouce video in Jan that has the link to the instructions as well.
Welp, I didn't make the viewer submissions this time, but I did finish a more unique seax, so...maybe this next time. (More "seax inspired" actually...😂)
Oh, where do I submit the seax photo? You gave me your personal one last time and then replied it was the wrong email.

@@TyrellKnifeworks excellent, thank you.
It would be nice to see a video where the judges discuss the builds presented to them rather than this way too short video.
