Indeed, the only thing I worry about a little is the board is so planar and the hexagon are perhaps a little too small to get really creative with. Really needs a second and perhaps third layer just for fun, and the rules probably need to allow for some amount of 'special' tiles that are larger than the standard single hex so we can do more insane stuff with it!

@@foldionepapyrus3441 What if we made placeholder hexagons you can swap out once the full set is placed? Alternatively you can design sets of them that do the insane thing together but apart are just broken. Doesn't change the rules since the balls will either get stuck or fall off either way. I like the idea of a layered board, then you can have funnels to the lower level.

Small suggestion, not a big deal, but a hex grid of 7 tiles across (4 on the on the edge) would have loose synergy with a couple other games. Like Isopath by Pocket 83. Tho your current grid has synergy with Catan. Which is probably a better option. Just thought I would mention it since this is something I've put research into while designing my own games.

No, it would be a terrible idea for any real-world use. (i.e. storing non-hexagonal things in or on workspaces, containers and drawers that are rectangular). All of the advantages of hexagons would either be irrelevant for a storage solution, or are negated by having individual containers, and not a connected grid of them.

This was amazing! Also the print estimations in prusa slicer for the mk4 are supposedly dead on accurate according to Thomas Sanladerer interview.

@ZackFreedmann Great to see how that awesome system can still get better! 👍 I can't wait to get my nozzles to temperature to start printing, and getting my messed up workspaces clean. ❤ Which material do you use to print? 🤔

The real version should have a point system mode. Where each player gets an exit track, and the winner is the one with most bearings in their specific collection track

It's already 2nd April... Well played anyway sir! I realised it was likely an April fools but found myself thinking "that game actually sounds pretty cool". Now it turns out that part is real? Can't wait to see the full video. Maybe you should build the game into Gridfinity 1.0? The tag line could be "Organise your bits, then play with 'em" ;)

Ok. I am 5 minutes into your video and I had to pause, subscribe, and comment. I love your humor and so far love 2.0. Keep crushing it and now I will go back to the rest of the video that I will no doubt enjoy. I look forward to organizing myself now that you stop the 42 BS and figured out the 0 and 5 deal 😂.

the coolest thing about the hexagon is that it is in fact a good and reasonable compromise between the square and the circle.... and also the same reasons why bees use this shape in their hives.... see a hexagon approximates the overall surface to volume ratio to maximize the amount of internal storage whilst still remaining stackable. wheras a cube shape of tub uses more material, so takes a bit longer to print relatively speaking. perhaps hexagons are wasteful though insider of larger rectangular storage you typically put them like drawers. or things you put into them. so it would complicate matters too much in general. but they would be more volumetrically effecient for tabletop pen organizers or for smaller granular materials. like tiny screws and so on. flowing things that have a better packing ratio.

In all honesty, the upgrades to the baseplate with the new hexagon shape are pretty sweet. I might start designing organizing stuff for that.

I have the give away your labor disease too. Part of it is gratitude for the models I've downloaded, part is pride, and a huge chunk is not valuing my time enough. Advice for all, don't let people take advantage of you because you're generous and agreeable. Especially if they're you're employer. Value your time and don't underestimate your abilities. Share what you like, but know what you're worth.
