I'm thinking about buying this cam to guard my motorcycle at night (it's on the street) but because I don't want to draw attention to it, I'm planning on using it with the lights off. I'm just wondering whether it will still capture a good night vision with the lights off considering the motorcycle is like 60 feet away.

I bought this a few months ago. It has many unfinished features. The ads and box suggests far more than it’s capable of, and Annke admitted the product needs improving and upgrading, then it will be more like the ads!! So we have all pretty much bought a beta version. For example, it will track my postman up the path, but it stops held way up the path and doesn’t follow him to the front door! Also if 2 people are tracked it darts badly from one to the other not knowing who to follow. You can’t see a thing clearly. Crazy! Just 2 examples of about 4 faults. ‘Buy cheap, buy twice.’ The instructions all from Chinese is inadequate, and their tech support is slow and not in the U.K. contact clinic directly for more info.

Agreed on all points except the tech support. Live chat is easy to use. The camera is not great, certainly not for the price. A colleague has one half the price which works ten times better although the zoom is only 5x

Does yours still work? I spent £450 on five of these cameras in April and the push notifications stopped working in December or January, I think. They are shown in a list if you open the app but the app does not put them on the phone screen as a notification so you can check the movement at the time. I tried a newer phone and it’s not working on that either.

As well as auto-tracking can it be set to auto-zoom (so if it detects a person in the distance it will automatically zoom in to them)? Thanks.

The most recent firmware (summer 2023) zooms on the target as well as tracks but not very much and the AI people tracking is terrible anyway

Did you find the solution? You probably have to change the resolution of the camera (from the app) in order to make it compatible with the image format (size, rate, ...) supported by the nvr.

Having trouble adding it to a 4ch+1 ip annke dn41r dvr (few years old now) only seems to work with the smart app, am i missing something or the dvr too old to add?

it will add, you need to grab the cameras ip address, login via the web interface and change the resolution to 920p, bitrate to 1024 and encoding to h264. This will make the camera resolution about 3x worse but it is the only way it will add as the dvr is too old.

No different app.. is my experience .. advantage is if NVR stops working PTZ is backup

Hi! I got this camera but I'm unsuccessfully trying to connect it to the "Security Eye" software. The first obstacle is that the software offers a list of Annke camera models and I don't recognize any of the models listed as this one. The second issue is, when I insert the IP of the camera on the software, it doesn't connect. Do you know the exact model of this camera or how to connect it to that software? Thanks!

The model might be shown on the back of the camera, maybe try connect to this app.

Depends .. on loading of other cameras connected to NVR.. usually this size PTZ need power supply connected .. and the power cable to camera should not be extended to cause voltage drop Test by disconnecting other cameras connected to NVR. Also POE cable length ..please let me know your result MotR

@@manoftheroad55 I bought five of these. They are 100% not PoE. Annke apologised for their erroneous info. The app is clunky and the AI people tracking performs very poorly. the 20x optical zoom is, however, fantastic even though the FOV is very narrow.

Can camera be connected to the router directly.. not using wifi

La plupart des caméras filment 24h/24, mais parlez vous d'enregistrement ? Il vous faut un serveur (avec un disque dur), si c'est ça que vous souhaitez.

The cameras can be set in one mode(continuous or motion detection recording) at one time. So, you need to set motion detection or 24/7 recording for the camera.

@@allen912 Zosi newest Ptz camera it’s 5mp picture isn’t a quarter as good as this camera picture wise but is good for cars people etc ,

@@IONLYPLAYCODFTW this camera sends movement detection notifications to your mobile device via app so you can hit the link provided to view the movement or review the continuous recording. If you set movement only recording, you will only get that.

No. Local power is required.

The camera "is a dream come true", the picture is crystal clear and the zoom excellent. However, it only works via the outdated activeX controls of the old Internet Explorer, if you want to watch it from a large pc monitor. Although it is an onvif camera, no third party supports it (does not detect the assigned onvif port 8999) and thus the PTZ and zoom controls do not work. Annke has not bothered to design a PC client for the camera, as eg., reolink has done. What is worse, the camera sometimes goes out of sync for some inexplicable reason and one cannot access it via the smartphone app. Even if one knows the camera's id and all its details, one has to be where the camera is located and reset it. Something horrible, a true nightmare, if one eg., has installed it in one's summer house which is far away, in a different province. Annke technicians have been extremely kind and willing to assist but, without the proper software for the pc and without a better smartphone app, the camera is rendered nearly useless. :(
