Annie the apple tree kids yoga story

This week we have a yoga story about an Apple Tree named Annie! But... there's more!
When Annie unexpectedly stops producing her sweet, rainbow apples, she feels hopeless.
Who is she?
Does she still matter?
Where is her worth?
We live in a culture that places so much value on productivity and output. Sometimes we need a reminder to stop and realize that we are more than our apples or our school work or our sports accomplishments or our daily step count. Our real worth is in who we are... our deepest and most precious parts of ourselves are what we are born with and into. Our yoga practice helps us to return to that source and to find our breath and our true meaning. The real purpose of life is to live.
In our yoga story, Annie finds her inner strength and resilience apart from her apples. Oh! And we get to practice tree pose! We know it's one of the all time favourite kids yoga poses!
So, let's balance, breathe and find our way back to ourselves.
“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt
