I have been feeling very strongly that the pioneers of contemporary Christian music are needed to come back on the front lines for this time we are living in! The power and the presence and the unvarnished gospel has got to be proclaimed again!! I wish I had a way to say this to everyone of the pioneers of contemporary Christian music before everyone needed to have a manager and record deals! It came through the Jesus movement and it changed the world! Please come back please come back God is not finished with all of you! Please hear please hear him call!! PLEASE!!!

You will never know how much you have ministered to me through the years with the music of 2nd Chapter of Acts. Watched several vintage videos here on KZread yesterday for Easter and cried through most of them. Tears of joy taking me back to 42 years ago when God used your heart and music to bring me to Him.

My face is soaked in tears, so this is the lady who wrote "Mansion Builder"? How that song blessed me and gave me hope so so many years ago when I was a young wife and mother, so lost in a world I wasn't raised to be in, but just then having stepped into the Kingdom. I had just met Jesus with my ALL not only in my head, was filled with the Holy Spirit. It was a very alone feeling because I was unequally yolked. Happily faith is not a feeling but an act of my will and despite many times of feeling alone the Faithful One so unchanging has never left me. I have been divorced for 15 years and still my heart often aches. Listing to Annie sing this beautiful song has reminded me that I am NOT alone, I never was and He is the Rose of Sharon. Thank you so much for you deep, moving, passionate declaration of who HE IS!!

In the 70's we were so blessed at your concerts....about 8 years ago I sent this to my dear mentor who was going thru a lonely time...and it was such a comfort to her. A week ago she went to be with Jesus (ecstaticly I am sure!)...and today I sent this beautiful song to her daughter. ...Blessings!!

My favorite from ANNIE ❤

This song just stabs me in the heart with love, grace, and mercy. Just like when I saw 2nd Chapter of Acts during their second to last concert ever in 1988 at Rose Heights Church Of God in Tyler, TX. I was only weeks old in salvation and Annie asked the crowd to pray for the concert. I had never prayed aloud & I simply gathered together with my brother, sis-in-law, and girlfriend and asked the Lord to change my musical interest. I was into death metal at the time & had no desire to see this "La La Christian band." Well, God answered me by giving me a sudden distaste for evil music and I was blown away by the concert! Now I'm blown away still, July of 2019, by Annie Herring and Flowers! Wow! This song truly touches my heart in a mighty way! How I wish 2nd Chapter would re-join and tour, maybe do an album. Is this the Lords will? I know none of the three would do it unless God said to. However, with the anointing on these three, would a concert, tour, and album be a thing the Lord would desire of them?

Annie, I first heard your voice In 1978, i bought Rejoice. From there, it was Roar of Love and I was yours. The harmonies captured me. I grew up in the South, Dad singing and playing for the Wills Family and the Gaithers. I was used to gospel music, y'all taught me more. Love you more than you'll ever know.

She sings so clearly and delivers a clear message, awesome!

I can very much relate to Annie, we're from the same era. I'm a late bloomer though. When you find the Lord all things change and you become a new creature.

Same here. It was like a different epoch, the music and lyrics were so genuine! ...I miss the "Sold-Out" nature of 'The Jesus People' back then...... praying God would send His Fire upon us again!!!

It's really easy to forget how much the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob loves us. You would think that letting His Son be crucified for us would say it all. But yet, will still listen to the father of lies and think that God does not care. The Lord is trustworthy in all His promises and faithful in all He does. The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The Holy Spirit is seconds away, if He is even that far. He fills us with love for ourselves and forgiveness for others. Helps people to 'see' with their eyes closed. When Camille & I break bread Jesus appears & shares His love (He throws flowers on our floor and He speaks our name) In the cup the Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts - He shares the remembrance. Early on, 2nd Chapter mixed in a few hymns - am wondering what Matt Redman's ' the Same Jesus ' could be with slightly slower time signature, violins, a cello, and a small, or medium group of ladies voices. In your voice range, Annie, with your small group. I think Matt did excellently with the group voices ( the " oh's....) throughout, and the arrangement ascended , brought worshippers in, and that piece became glorifying - glorious - in praise and worship.
