One of the beautiful things abt classical music is how truly international it is: any major orchestra has members of various origin/nationality, coming together to make music. I so admire and appreciate the classical music community for the creative ways they've continued to play during the pandemic, and also for doing benefit concerts.

@Richard Rickford ~ You are on the right 'track'! It is the essence of a Great Shakespeare Leading Role of Sir Richard Burton, now departed or Sir Laurence Olivier!! Or in my Violin World, close to my Mentor, Jascha Heifetz and/or other, Nathan Milstein, yet Anne-Sophie Mutter owns her Instincts into Beethoven from Within and this is, indeed, most rare and these days ~ I truly know of what I speak!! Studying at different times w/Heifetz {JH Violin Master Class -Khachaturian, JH-7, Elisabeth Matesky (Rus vers. Library of Master Performers) as a Ref., & later in London, privately, w/Peer of JH, Nathan Milstein, I was 'In' a World of enlightenment & lack of Ego w/both Giants of The Violin and of Music! The main emphasis was Always The Music! One had to possess all technique/s to be liberated from the drudgery of Only Technique!! W/Milstein, Bowing NM Style did this and w/Heifetz, Scales Galore did it!! ASM is a Unique Artist and I find most other 'famed' not near Anne-Sophie Mutter's musicality fused with intelligence & deeper Spirituality ... Best Wishes, Elisabeth Matesky 6.10.2022 ~ US🎻Mozart was Beyond 🙏🙏 ...

This is the triumph of the human spirit. I'm in tears. Thanks to this dear cherished person, and to Vladimir--they both seemed to play on their own heart-strings. Ms. Mutter's violin always remains the protagonist, and in Beethoven's composition the rest of the orchestra can almost seem the violin's subconscious, or the violin's life circumstances. This strikes me as a memorable moment in the emergence of world civilization, grandiose as that may sound.

A truly remarkable performance by Orchestra and ASM. Love 36:00 - 37:00, she must have been playing this as a lullaby for the children this concert is also caring for. Outstanding.

Bei den vielen Krisen und Katastrophen müssten die Musiker viel mehr Konzerte geben. Danke für deinen Kommentar und ich bin froh dass du es angesprochen hast. Superb concert and an extraordinary performance! While seeing Mrs. Mutter I wondered whether she was thinking about her first time with Mr. Von Karajan, when she was just a teenager... Thanks for this luxurius concert, for people like me living so so far away, it is a caress for the heart, particularly because for me Beethoven's is the greatest masterwork ever composed! ❤

It really does not get any better than this. Anne-Sophie is as fantastic as ever; the best Beethoven Violin Concerto performance I've ever been witness to. And the centerpiece, Sinfonia Concertante II.Adagio, with Vladimir Babeshko on viola, really brought tears to my eyes. All glued together in the best possible way by conductor Lahav Shani and the amazing symphony musicians. Also, huge appreciation to the sound and video engineers who also stepped up to the task. I've bookmarked this concert recording as my new high-water mark for symphonic music performance, based on a score of 11 out of 10 for emotional impact alone.

The Beethoven Concerto is the perfect piece because there's a moment at around 24:26 when it moves from music to prayer.

A brilliant and specific interpretation of Beethoven's Violin Concerto played by solo violinist and orchestra under the baton of the conductor. One can feel deeply the different characteristics of Beethoven, his anger, his outbursts of power, his tenderness, his hidden love in the depths of his heart. I especially appreciate the orchestra handles those two strong emotions (power and tenderness) in the introduction (before the exposition) of the first movement, which quite different from other artists.

The musical community maintains its criterion of providing good hearing to the spectators for its philharmonics, avoiding within this context maintaining the unity of the musicals for all and not exception of political or social trends. is: any major orchestra has members of various origin/nationality, coming together to make music. I so admire and appreciate the classical music community for the creative ways they've continued to play during the pandemic, and also for doing benefit concerts.Thank you for having this opportunity and power in the peace of my lonely environment to hear harmony and the explosion of feelings involved.
