My first exposure to Ann Margaret was the Flintstones with "Ann Margrock"😅 I just remembered being able to tell that she must have been based off a real person so I asked my mom " who is Ann Margrock?" She was like "you mean Margaret"? I was like "no they said Margrock"😅 Image me being smart enough to recognize a character being based off a real person but not pick up on the fact that the Flintstones always added "rock" or "stone" to any name🤦🤣

Ann Margaret helped Tina Turner after she left Ike. She and Tina's 'Rollin' duet is my favorite. Ann held her own. I respected Ann all these years as she never spilled much about her relationship with EP. She did say in one interview that she wanted a career and hers was just taking off when she met EP. EP didn't want his wife to work, but they parted as friends. Ann had a lot of good people around her in her hometown in the US which kept her humble in my opinion.
I loved her in the Grumpy Old Men films growing up. She has beautiful bouncy hair.

She's so gorgeous, esp in GOM. She looked better at 50 yrs old (ish, unsure how old she was in those movies) than I did at 25, lol
One of my favorite movies is Viva Las Vegas. The chemistry between her and Elvis 🔥. She’s gorgeous
In the late 1970’s I saw the Stunning Ann Margaret riding her Harley Davidson in Hollywood. She was wearing what appeared to be a black leather outfit. Her red hair loose around her face. I was walking down the sidewalk when I saw her. Years later when Little Richard was performing at a venue I was working Roger Smith & Ann Margaret came in & I served them their drinks. Afterwards they went to his dressing room. They were friends of Little Richard. Loved Little Richard especially towards the end of his life. What an epic battle he fought to overcome himself & this world. I believe he conquered the ‘Old Man’ & was Victorious. What a Man he was in his last years. 🌷❤️🌷
Ann Margaret was and still is a total knockout. Great talent and singer/dancer/actress of the old school. An accomplished entertainer. Ann Margrock rocks!
Im familiar with Anne Margaret.. also watched her animated caricature on the Flintstones years ago and yes I have heard the term , female Elvis...👍🏽

Back in the early aughts Anne Margaret asked Linsey Lohan to play mother daughter in a movie and Lindsey said, “no.” It would have been good, they both capture the screen!
Elvis hadn’t met Priscilla yet when Debra Paget starred with him in Love Me Tender. Also, Debra is older, therefore, technically speaking, it’s Priscilla who looks like Debra Paget not the other way around.

That Ann Margarock episode was my favorite on the Flintstones along with Samantha from Bewitched and Stony Curtis! 😄😂
She could really act and sing, add to that her charm and screen presence then you get a real star. These kind of people are very very rare and organic. It was not forced. So it was no surprise at 19 she started to get noticed and auditions. Her talent was her strength.

Thank you, Karine! I truly enjoyed this presentation. Being born in 1962, on indoor days I often watched Channels 11 and 13. They both looped a lot of movies and by age 7 or so I was head over heels for Ann-Margret. Sure, I'd seen other movies like Bus Stop and West Side Story along with a lot of film noir and adored Gene Tierney, Mamie Van Doren, Marilyn Monroe, and Natalie Wood, but there was just something about Ann-Margret that beckoned like the demigoddess Calypso herself. I have an autographed 8 x 10 from her and every time I see it, I'm still star struck.

@@traceylennon1204 I seldom got home that soon because both my parents worked until early evening and my friends and I usually stayed at the school doing homework, playing at sports, or rifling through the huge public library across the street. Unless my memories are too hazy, in the late 60s & early 70s channels 9 and lower were mostly talk or game shows, news, and sports. On Saturdays, 11 & 13 used to show a lot of sci fi and monster movies while their Sundays were usually dominated by classics. That's probably an oversimplification, but tended to be the pattern in the San Diego area back then.
Ann Margaret and Elvis Presley, were very attractive, had charisma, talent and chemistry. I believe that they were soulmates and love their movies and music❤️
How can you NOT know who she is? It's who the inspiration of my red headed look. I grew up knowing her from Bye Bye Byrdie than Viva Las Vegas. I love her!! Thank you for a video of an amazing icon.

I agree. To me Ann Margaret was just too much, seemed like she tried too hard or something. I also have contempt for any woman who goes after another woman’s man.
She's one of my favs...loved her in the Swinger, and as Ann-Margrock on the Flintstones. She nearly killed herself in a fall. She was a motorcycle rider too. She is often imitated by Paula Abdul.
I saw her in “Bye Bye Birdie” and loved her red hair. I love Dick Van Dyke and I watched because of him but she left a lasting impression on me. She is gorgeous. 🌺🌹
To this day, I can't think of another woman with the natural animal magnetism that she has. Her voice and look are so sultry, that gorgeous red hair, and bedroom eyes. Gee, that sounds exactly like Elvis (minus the hair color, obviously!) 😂 *Can we just take a minute of appreciation for hubby Roger? Dude stole a dang plane to get to his hospitalized woman! What a mighty fine man ❤
LOL...the first time i ever saw/knew about her was when i saw the move Grumpy Old Men..and that movie i absolutely love and for some reason EVERY Christmas we love to watch that movie!!
I really would like for you to do a video on the one and only Victoria Principal! I hope you can make that wish come true.
Ann-Margret is def one of my main vintage crushes for sure! What a minx!! 😍
My dad always found Ann Margaret hot (he's 83) and my mom used to look so much like her from the hair to what she wore when she was younger. My mom loved Elvis and had all his albums. She had seen all his movies and growing up, Elvis was always playing in the background.
My sister and I are both in our 70's. We have loved Anne Margret since day one.
I read her memoir! 💐💐
The thumbnail picture is gorgeous. And I love Kirsten Wiig's Ann Margret skit for SNL. It's a comedy classic in its own right!
She was the female Elvis. I really believe had he married her his demise would have been very different. His reasoning behind following up with Priscilla was because his career would never have survived what she told back then. Also he couldn't control Ann Margaret either.
I am 62 so I recall Anne Margret, such a beauty. I enjoy your videos, thank you.
I heard in one video, Elvis called Anne the day before he got married, to tell her he was unsure about marrying Priscilla, due to his feelings for her. Ann told him to not to hurt Priscilla.
Anne Margaret was in the original movie Bye-Bye birdie, she was in the Movie Grumpy Old Men and she even played a major part in the mini series QUEEN, with Haley Barry. Everyone should check out her early movie in 1970's Carnal Knowledge...it was an Oscar nominated film. Anne Margaret was FABULOUS in this film.
Thank you for sharing. 🌹🌷🌹🌷🌹🌷 I loved her in the Pleasure Seekers.
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE AHHHH! 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 Love Ann🥺🥹
Thanks for a lovely video. My feeling is confirmed that these two were Twin Flames. A unique and intense relationship.
How does Ms. Alourde always know who my favorite movie stars and entertainers are?!? What made me fall for (not romantic) Ann Margrets charms was her dancing in Bye Bye Birdie!!! ❤ I couldn’t get enough of her routines I actually memorized them! To this day I still swing my hips n hair doing her moves here n there lol I incorporated them in all my smoove moves! Thanks for another awesome video! ❤
Oh, depending on how old you are, you know about Anne Margaret! Watched her films growing up and "Bye Bye Birdie" 1963 (the year I was born) was and still is one of my favorites. This was one of your best features too me. I loved Annie as long as I can remember. She was fabulous in "Tommy" and she helped Tina Turner land her role in the film as well.
