Problem is that the U(nited)N(azi) organisation puts its hand over its ears. It doesn't want to hear the truth, and neither does the much vaunted 'international community'. The last war against Hexbollah was ended on a promise that a UNIFIL force would prevent Hezbollah stationing itself in S Lebanon, and that it would stop Hezbollah rearming. How has that gone over the years of not listening to the truth?! This present conflict simply confirms that Israel must do what Israel must do in order to survive. The image of the young man hostage being hustled and manhandled in the hospital by the medical staff on TV has been a source of great worry and distress ever since. What has happened to him? The idea of what is happening to the hostages and the young family with the baby and red-headed little boy, is haunting one all the time with the terrible thought of what has happened to them. Here is an interesting fact: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has less than 19,000 employees worldwide to manage 29.4 million refugees across the world, not to mention the tens of millions more internally displaced persons, asylum seekers and stateless people across 135 countries. UNRWA, on the other hand, employs 30,000 people, in Gaza to service a claimed figure of 5.9 million refugees.

I'll expand on the "claimed" refugees then: most refugees inherited their status, plus some of their grandparents (in Gaza,Judea, Samaria) didn't even move, and a couple of millions in Jordan are actually Jordan citizens (I don't know about other citizenships).

I'm sorry, but the fact that the people of Gaza call themselves "refugees" is pathetic. They are the people of a UN recognised country that is run by the elected Hamas. The fact that Hamas destroyed all the infrastructure and companies that were handed to them on a plate by the Israelis when the Israelis withdrew, by force, all their people is indicative of their corruption. Hamas want their people to be 100% reliant on "aid" as it feeds their bank coffers with millions of dollars from their supporters. There is absolutely no need for the people of Gaza to be where they are now as 3rd generation "refugees". The country and the land is more than capable of supporting them. It is a shame on the UN that they still feed the egos and corruption of Hamas ans it is a shame on the rest of the world for falling for this BS too.

Why no one is mentioning the terror and killing Hamas conducted from 2005 to 2006 toward Palestinian people just because they want to live free but Hamas had another plan. It happened not to long ago and it is enough to search on KZread.

Taking of hostages is a violation of "international" law, as defined by the West. If you read Islamic sources, there is nothing which says that you cannot do it. Muslims view the Quran and the sayings of Muhammad as THEIR legal framework (the Sharia is based on these and is considered "divine", hence above any man-made laws). The West does not realize that if you follow Islam closely, Western laws/rules don't apply. Here is just one important sahih hadith (authentic saying) of Muhammad that is relevant: Muhairiz said “I entered the mosque and saw Abu Sa’id Al Khudri. I sat with him and asked about withdrawing the penis (while having intercourse). Abu Sa’id said We went out with the Apostle of Allah on the expedition to Banu Al Mustaliq and took some Arab women captive and we desired the women for we were suffering from the absence of our wives and we wanted ransom, so we intended to withdraw the penis (while having intercourse with the slave women). But we asked ourselves “can we draw the penis when the Apostle of Allah is among us before asking him about it? So we asked him about it. He said “it does not matter if you do not do it, for very soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born.” - Sahih Abi Dawud 2172

But didn't the UN want to release all Hostages too? I think they said that several times.

She makes a number of valid points but, she is not an orator; more a rambler. She sidetracked herself so many times; going off at a tangent and rambling back a minute or so later. Given that many of those present seem soulless a concise speech may have been more effective.

I can't listen to people who raise their voices at the end of every sentence, it's so distracting.

What occupation? The modern state of Israel was established by the international community. Arabs didn’t like it and waged war, refusing peace or ceding. Israel was fledgling and miraculously won a war or independence against 3 (or 4) hostile nations that sought to destroy it. They expanded territory as is legitimate in war, and even more legitimate when won after a DEFENSIVE war. Rinse, repeat, this happened several times in the 20th century. Just because a person or people don’t like the outcome of losing war, doesn’t mean that the victors have not legitimately claimed land. Now, if you want to challenge expansion of settlements that’s a different matter. But to say that it’s 75 years of criminal activity is ignorant the reality of how history unfolded.
