My grandmother was called “Diamond” I am called “Supreme” 😅 I’ve met with people called GrayWolf, Moss, Sea, Ocean, Joy, Cloud, Flower, Rock, Warrior, Eagle, Space, AprilRain, North.. Our last names are everyday words like my own means “Flagbearer” We also have made up names like “Gülse” father’s name’s first two/three words: Gül and mother’s names’s first two/three words: Se. Unfortunately very common in Turkey. Like Brad + Angelina Angebra. Anne+Adam Adanne.

The joke is that regardless of whether or not the person is saying the name(s) correctly, she’s still going to keep ‘correcting’ them-just to mess with them, like she did here. It makes people uncomfortable bc they want to get it right, esp. bc they aren’t names you’d hear everyday (at least not in the US or England, can’t really speak to anywhere else). If you know B99, it’s similar to the Nikolaj/Nikolaj joke. Also, boiled down/combined, the names = Hungry bellies
