On this day 27th April 2006, 15 years ago, Anna Ford presented her last ever BBC News bulletin. After many years that she could hardly remember! Is Anna Ford a spectacular lady?

She was the best newswoman. Very attractive too. Still missed.

I could hear her voice reading the news now and not realise she'd ever been away. Some voices become so familiar. It's hard to think she finished reading the news 16 years ago.

Interesting facts: Sophie Raworth replaced Anna Ford in 2006 as a presenter of the BBC’s one o’clock news. Alex Osbourne replaced holly green in 2017 as a weather presenter on of bbc spotlight, bbc south today and bbc points west.

Aww can't believe it's so long since she was on the screen, looked like she couldn't wait to be off!

+Brian Marshall i remember her on the bbc six o clock news (the virtual 1993 to 1999 look) then she moved to the 1pm news in 1999 when Edward Stourton moved to radio 4
