As an old-timer myself, I remember the place well. If memory serves me right, the house band was Henrietta and the Hershey Squirts. To be honest, they were kind of a sh*tty band, but Henrietta was one fine-looking lady, even if she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. Plus, she sure could do some, uh, interesting things with that microphone of hers . . . great memories!

I can just picture the Andrews Sisters singing this in one of those patriotic wartime musicals.

She must have been a fave on the USO tours during the war!

My late father had many fond memories of that show (I believe it was in Mexico City) and of course of Ann's provocative performances with those ping pong balls and her donkey, Pedro. A tear of nostalgia often came to his eye as he regaled me with his adventures there. He said that Ann also had a very fine "disappearing vegetables" act - a real crowd pleaser.
