While I picked up this deck for all the hype around K'rrik, I'm really glad (Miss) Anje has stood the test of time. So much fun to play, making a mechanic otherwise overlooked in commander really fun and genuinely competitive!

I bought this deck for my daughter and a precon for myself at the same level, I think this video might get her into building her own, so now I can play my jank. Everything was very well explained. Thanks!

Thank you for the video. I had had some trouble with how much reanimation I should include in the deck, because I had seen the worldgorger combo, and I didn’t know what other win con to use. The stuff with glint horn, brallin, konrad, etc seems way more fun and fair to me!

Yeah this is what I loved about Commander Quarters earlier videos. Easy UI for Card viewing, quick explanation of the combos, FAST talking and bad puns. I also like the premise of using the EDHrec Average Deck. There are all the staples already included which do not need to be explained. Nice format.

I am building an Anje deck (I found the precon). I've never played magic before so I hope the madness mechanic isn't too overwhelming but I'm really looking forward to playing my first game. Been doing a ton of research and this video was super helpful, thanks!

How did my playgroup missed this, we all watch the race! O_O

I like how having such a high madness creature count essentially decreases your deck size, letting you find what you need the sooner you start utilizing your commander. I love this build!

I don't play Miss Anjie, but I loved the references. Edit: I'm gonna build this deck so I can say "Miss Anjie, Miss Anjie, Miss Aaaaaaaanjie" everytime I play her.

3:45-4:30 is truly excellent. I really like how you articulated CDH and why you decided to not use the infinite combo and even recommended those interested seek it out. My only criticism would be to provide a recommendation on where to go. But that's being picky and digging deep. As always great job on the deck.

I love Anje, as someone named Áine ( pronounced the same way ) its nice for someone to actually say it right for once XD

Love this. It got so many interesting new cards in recent sets it’s worth a fresh take on the list. I bought the precon and made a Kr’rik deck, but the Anje deck always felt underpowered and I didn’t want it to be a glass cannon Worldgorger combo deck because my pod runs too much instant speed removal and once they know how the combo works they’ll just hold up mana to make sure I get disrupted. Not fun for anyone at the table… Living Death, Twilights Call and even a Rise of the Dark realms are a really fun way to win with this deck, and if you can simultaneously drain your opponents from discard and wheel effects then if they exile your graveyard you still have a shot!

Pretty cool. Moving away from the combo is pretty obvious because the high power combo deck is probably already pretty solved by the high power community so doing a lower powered upgrade is cool. I wonder if Surly Badgersaur is worth a look. It would probably get pretty big with all the creatures you're trying to discard and can be decent removal with the fight ability when discarding any non-creatures. The land->treasure ability probably won't happen as often but it can be a little bit of extra mana.

hmmm... interesting. While I am a combo player at heart, I think this might be more fun, I'll have the WGD combo pieces on the side if I switch the deck over to cEDH. to add living death was interesting, I was sure you would have added rise of the dark realms, that way you get everyone's creatures :) but maybe you can add that too.

I'm 100% on board with non-Worldgorger combo of Miss Anje, because I've dedicated that combo to my Kroxa deck!

In place of or alongside could add bathroom the defiled as another mass reanimation effect..

Only one recommendation: Library of Leng. If I understand well, that's a really easy way to go discard infinitely the same card, allowing you to get that discard trigger infinitely.

I would love to see an episode on Kelsien, the Plague, maybe going into mardu control vs straight deathtouch voltron?

I play Anje with eldrazi and tergrid synergies instead of world gorger combo. It can be brutal for a table to deal with pathrazers and crushers on t4 but most of my time I’m just end of turn madness cycling and digging for oppression and tergrid. Konrad and a mind crank seem like good adds to my list.

Here's hoping that this means there's more of the C19 precon commanders coming up soon. Dare I hope for a Ghired video? :D

You can put phyresis or other infect tech in this deck to make the bralin kills much faster

Solid idea not to include worldgorger combo. It also gives you a lot more wiggle room to add cool stuff because worldgorger is almost $15

Nooze combo doesnt kill you if someone fucks with the combo as well, a huge downside tp worldgorger

I feel like it is bad luck to use Bojuka Bog in a deck if I want to utilize my own graveyard.

Not interested in this commander, however you do a great job pulling the viewer in and made it very entertaining regardless of my I interest. For that, thank you. ❤️

Probably also worth noting that World-Gorger is super, super fragile and can kinda knock you out of the game if your opponents know what they’re doing.

39 madness cards is a minimum for Anje

Question concerning Syr Konrad. Since madness cards discard into exile, won't they not trigger him unless you choose not to cast them for their madness cost? I realize a good chunk of the madness cards are just there to fuel the draw engine; I just want to confirm how the cards would interact.

So when you Discard a card with MADNESS, it's discarded into exile and you can choose to pay for the madness cost, if you don't the card ends up in the grave upon resolution. So if you Discard a MADNESS card, it gets discarded into exile and if the MADNESS cost isn't payed for it'll end up in the GY

i would recommend Library of Leng. it combos with Glint-Horn Buccaneer and Brallin even if you don't play the worldgorger combo, everyone expects you to.

Unfortunately, Library of Leng only works when effects cause you to discard cards, and does not work when discarding a card is part of the cost to activate an effect.

Kinda a slow boring deck but you explain the deck well and are a great help for deck ideas. I'm not a cedh player but this deck would lose to most precons.

Boo! You should NOT cut Nightmare Unmaking. Play it a few times and see how often it truly whiffs (my guess? zero). It's one of the most underrated cards of all time!
