This song Sweetest Dreams is so awesome..

Anita Bakers voice, to me, is pure love. I hear her sing and I just feel all the love I have for my woman, my wife, swelling up inside and overflowing. Nobody else does that for me, just Anita, old songs or new.

Anita has officially retired from the music industry as of January of 2017. This information was obtained from Anita's own Instagram account. She posted a pic of all of her music awards in a glass case-and thank her fans for their undying love and support. No more tours, CD's or ANYTHING. Thanks for the integrity of sound you gave to this too often sordid industry. Just a voice and a mike was all that was needed, no nakedness, booty shaking, bells and whistles, pyrotechnics, and a dozen dancers to cover up the lack of talent. May the Lord continue to bless your life Anita, as you have blessed me with your music.

Hers are songs that you can STILL pop onto your system today and they stand the test of time! not much i guarantee you, Anita is amongst the cream of popular music artists of all time, probably the best with the likes Phyllis Hyman among soul/jazz artists

And I was so looking forward to having this song along with the rest on the new album in my collection(along with “Lately “, at least we have that!) , hopefully one day since she’s completed her Farewell Tour and officially retired they will rerelease My Everything and Christmas Fantasy and finally release 21st Century Love ...
