It's so cool to see the behind the scenes. This stuff would have been pure magic to kid me.
I'm sick In bed for about 4 days but when I listened to this music I'm kind'a feeling better and I'm 8yrs old
Just looking at the wireframe, the amount of polys is staggering for something like this. It's truly a testament to Lytle and the crew's dedication to creating progressive musical experiences accessible to any age, combining elements of prog rock, techno, and multiple other genres.
You're right, things like string elasticity, spin, and airflow are even more variables in this thing. String elasticity changes over time and wouldn't be something you could control.
This video is gonna be 10 years old soon... damn
really awesome, I can't imagine how much work must go into something like this. Really Nice !!!!!!!
I remember seeing the original when it came out. but this bonus feature is EPIC. The Tri Screen split blows my mind.
Lol the balls just appear and disappear as they come in/out of the pipes. Ah, the animation world.

Everybody gangsta 'til Animusic gets access to super secret settings.
ÉNORMISSIME !!!! MAGNIFIQUE !!!! Super bien Orchestré !!! BRAVO !!!
now thats 3D Animation for ya....AMAZING, AWESOME....BRILLIANT...MIND BLOWING PIECE OF WORK...
Your creativity, imagination and talent are unbelievable! What a gift you all have! Thanks for sharing and awakening the childlike wonderment of Christmas morning!
The "non rendered" is called wireframe, easy to render in 3D Max (Preview Animation, with full quality). The "three-way split" is most likely done in a composition software, like After Effects, where you can mask parts of the three videos as rectangles, and select what to show.

Весёлая, ритмичная музыка и супер 👍 классное видео. Спасибо 🙏 вам огромное, за такую прелесть. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My favorite special feature! I wish more of the songs had this, instead of being a one-off. When I was very young, I was so fascinated by it. I knew it was supposed to explain how it was made, but I was just mystified even more. Coming back to it now, I finally understand what I’m seeing, and it’s incredibly rewarding.
This is bound to make anyone smile. :)
Nice song! I dance to it all the time! it really gets me active!
every time i watch animusic, it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up
This is preatty amazing, this is very impressive. That's preatty cool that they can do that.
I am so IN AWE of your incredible MINDS..... (Oh...and the music a fantastic too...lol)

He probably is hinting at the experiences people with Autism, high functioning or not, have. I'm borderline Asperger's... So, a limited version of an already "limited" Autism. I know I can't fully understand his words, BUT my experiences with my Asperger-fueled differences (compared to an average neurotypical response/experience/etc) have shown me that there are very, very different ways (not to mention MANY of these different ways exist!) people with Autism understand themselves, their relationships with everyone (including themselves), their interests, their thoughts and communications, and much more.
I wish I could favorite this many times:D

Bloody fantastic. This must have taken hours and hours to make. LOL, I can't help wondering (and I'm sure others have thought the same) if it would be possible to construct a 'real life' one of these. Imagine the amount of solenoids/servos/hydraulics LOL.
imagine trying to make this in real life lol

PCgamer090 Impossible..., if you where planing to make a device that works exactly like that cone ended pipe that throws the balls on the drums and such.
@anjagoller
6 жыл бұрын
This is not exactly possible, at least not without alterations. You can't have one pipe throwing a ball in different directions as in the drum and the vibraphone section. You'd have to build more ball-throwers, one for each thing you want to hit. And you can't hit a string with a ball like this. I will probably not hit the funnel but fly anywhere. There has to be a little guidance. The swedish band Wintergatan built a machine like this, with marbles.
@theotherhive

tell that to wintergatan. lol
@anjagoller
6 жыл бұрын
@Pi-Fi: I don't know, if you mean me... Wintergatan did all the things differently, that wouldn't work if realized like the pipe dream. They have one marble-channel for each sound and they have guides where the marbles hit the strings. The IBM thing is somehow nice to watch, but these are still artificial sounds. Would have been more impressive if they used real instruments...

The way Animusic does its music is amazing. Fuck live-action music videos which might mostly be crap, the way that Animusic does this is epic.
1:01 - 1:15 is just mah favorite part it sounds so good! RARG
this sounds very "Spyro The Dragon". i love Animusic.
this really makes me wonder how these videos would look with modern PBR rendering technologies...
this RULES!!!!!
Very cool !!!!
I love the music. Reminds me of Sim City :)
Wonderful chord progressions.
I like the beginning of the first one better but I like this piece better. Really creative composing given the boundaries set by the machine itself.
reminds me of spyro music :3
This is so good.
I like this.
I can only begin to imagine how long this must have taken.
Favorite thing to look at on tv
I like this more than first, animation and better music too; it's excellent!
Love the fantasy acrylic colors -- do the whole thing in those pls!
Hmm, almost would've expected the transparent view to show the balls moving trough the pipes. otherwise, a magnificent piece :D
I would love to see one of these actually working
I luv it wen the Drums come in..
That's true. But a while ago, I got an email forwarded to me with the title "Amazing machine", and it had the original Pipe Dream video attached. Apparently, people who didn't know about Animusic thought it was a real machine and were forwarding that email around.

they should have something like this in a museum.
There is nothing fake about this. This is made through a computer and software. It is actually programmed to make the different noises as what ever object is chosen hits on what ever other object is chosen From what I understood you need a powerful machine to do it, and yes the software is expensive,You can't just walk into a best buy and buy the software for $50 bucks. Who ever say this is fake does not know what they are talking about. Its real music that is made by hitting made up objects.
OMG he hasn't posted a video in ages!! this was posted 1 year after I was born!!
the perfect music machine...
There are a lot of bonus features on the DVDs that are not on KZread.
Oh, the technology is there... what we don't have is the patience, the time, or the money...
yo, this shit was thing watch back elementary school. Everytime the teacher pulled this out, everyone would go apeshit and request it all the time to listen to in music class. Ahhh...the days back then.
Nice dream!
The music for next generation
the vibraphone fountain looks like a flower its cool
me encantaaaaaaaaa¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Great
what is this wired soild shaded a bonus feature
When Engineer and Musician team up.
This should be realtime!
JUST WOW ♡♤♡...
It is real. Intel has a machine that plays Pipe Dream, although the machine that shoots off the marbles is very loud. Still very neat!
i kind of like it when its all colorful
How do you make a animation like this?? I wish I could!!!
This is cool to see as an adult now lol
wow this would be so awesome if someone could make it in real life
Sounds very nice though
Great challenge for Dude Perfect!😂😂👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I will miss Animusic forever.
@SuperBlueHedgehog The question was whether or not it would be plausible to create this device in reality or whether it would be something more of a nightmare to try and crate it. I was simply stating that the technology does exist, the possibility does exist to create this machine, but the variables involved would be a pure nightmare given that the whole thing would have to be entirely static, meaning no differential at all. It's all about the possibilities.
oh I see... it goes from a 3D graph to greyscale to the poorly-lit room that obviously needs a plumber. cool.
