Personally I really like the design of the "instruments". It's simple and easily recognisable. They also look good, thanks to their texturing. As for the video as a whole, it's brilliantly rendered, as usual; the video is completely in-sync with the music, the elements in the video is different to any other video by Animusic and the most creative, and so on.

If you watch this enough times, this performance becomes a story about a troupe of travelling string instruments who have to practice on their way to the next gig. Even while picking up a few late buddies along the way (like Joshua Hill's "Gary" at the beginning - as soon as Gary arrives, they're off!). The troupe squeezes in a few minutes of rehearsal while ducking through tunnels and later picking up their percussionists along the way. Nobody even reflects upon this. To them, this is 'normal,' their very reason to exist. This transcends words, purpose, joy, even life itself. For them, there is nothing else but the music.

I think you're on the right track. I see it as they're forced to play, they're on tracks doing shows for people. Only when they're in the tunnels does their darker, brooding true nature come through, as you can tell by the dull lighting and slower, deep riffs. Like they don't enjoy the fame, no one realizes who they really are. I agree they're all stories. Amazing stuff.

what? A long time ago i was. Maybe you're being sarcastic. I'm not joking about the contributors, I forget who all is on the list but a lot of those big names were seriously bad people. Pbs is not good for freedom. It doesn't seem like an extension of the MIC but if you learn about propaganda, like what the council on foreign relations comes up, with to start wars, you'll see the connections. I searched for info on Mr. Rogers, if he was really in Vietnam, and the big propaganda org.s, like snopes, all came up. So I kept searching until I found something supporting the rumor. A testimonial from someone who had taken a tour of the white house, had seen a pic of Mr. Rogers, and said it looked to him like Mr Rogers was indeed a highly decorated soldier. I can't find a better site for video and until i do I'm going to keep making crazy comments on yt. But if you search you'll see I'm not just stoned.

The story here is that these "Pogo Sticks" live in a strict, walled off city of boring and bland buildings. Everyone here fits in perfectly sized squares and molds, all to help build up this walled city. The "Pogo Sticks" is actually the name of a band that sneaks out at night to play music. They live in a strict society that has banned any form of imagination, for creative shapes do not fit in predetermined templates. The tall buildings past the walls indicate watch towers, showing that this is a controlled area where the authorities have an iron grip on the people. Four come out initially, starting their nightly ritual of playing. The entirety of the Pogo Sticks are spread out across the town, and they wait for the last member in this district. When another arrives, they start to move. They move swiftly across the town, never stopping for long. The Pogo Sticks don't want to be caught for disturbing the peacefully sleeping squares. They have to play on the run, and quiet down when they slip in the alleys between the buildings. They do this often, in fear that they are being tailed by an officer that would detain and imprison them. When they slip out of the alleys and back into the main streets, they play loudly again, now free from the dread of a stalker. They reach the homes of two of their bandmates, playing a rumbling song to summon them out of their homes. They're twins, who quickly come out of their homes after hearing the rest of the Sticks. They begin their journey again, playing a chipper tune. All of them were happy to express themselves after a long day of conformity. They continue to play as morning peeks over the horizon. Soon, they would have to return home and back to their respective patterns.

This is pure nightmare fuel. Its terrifying to think what would happen to a human body should they be trampled by this cacophony and moving parts. Since I can't gauge a scale of how large these automatons/creatures are I pray whatever unfortunate soul finds themselves in their path is crushed swiftly, wholly, and without a greater purpose. To think what they would do to you if they were your size, had a purpose, and were on the way NOW is unimaginable. Either way...They can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel pity, remorse, or fear, and they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

i don't know. I think theyre about as tall as an average adult and I think they'd feel remorse and empathy. They just wanna play music and find new buddies

Don't be scared by them, they're actually really friendly and love it when there's people around. But do be careful with your jewelry, they love sparkly things and will snatch a ring right off your finger. The only dangerous part of them is that some of them are really shy and scared by humans and groovbots and will attack if you're a possible threat. But that's extremely rare. The only time it happened was when some drunk guy punched the xylophone one half to death or ripped a stick figure off of the ground. ★

I used to be mortified of this. I thought the pogo stick men were real, and that they would enter my room in the dark.

Bro, in music class this one was always my favorite, but NO ONE ELSE liked it and I remember my teacher skipping it and just being sad and too afraid to speak up, ha ha.
