I'd add/recommend "The Garden Of Words"(possibly the most beautifully animated scenes ever of any anime), "Children Who Chase Lost Voices", the sequel to "Whisper of the Heart" (a Ghibli film) which is "The Cat Returns" (which I think was animated by Ghibli, but I don't think it was directed by anyone at Ghibli??), "The Place Promised in Our Early Days", "A Letter to Momo"(reminds me of Totoro a bit), "Summer Wars" (that one's a bit scifi if I remember it correctly) and uh.. "Mary and the Witch's Flower" (definitely a "must see" if you like Ghibli!), and maybe I'll throw in a random short animation (not anime, but still neat) "The House of Small Cubes". If anyone has anything in a similar direction, please let me know! :D

This is already my 4th comment haha 🙈 Your Name is one of my favorite anime movies ever, like right up there with Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, and other Studio Ghibli movies (I love so many), and one of my favorite romance movies ever! I adore the concept of time and space mixed with love and memory, and how it affects destiny and free will. The storytelling is so ingenious with certain sound effects and transitions. Taki and Mitsuha's relationship is so engaging and imI just love how the concept of remembering plays so much into their love. And the soundtrack and all makes it all much more emotional (I was a MESS the 1st time I saw it) 🥺 It's simply amazing! It's a 10/10 movie for me ❤️

The animation and music is absolutely mesmerizing and unique, and the story is awesome as well. The movie is packed with action but also discusses deeper subjects such as the human mind, religion and the meaning of life. The film was released in 1988 but was waaay a head of its time. Such an underrated movie that has aged beautifully! Anyone who's interested in anime should definitely check Akira out because this movie had a huge impact on the anime industry and what it has become today.

I literally watched most of these films and they are amazing!!! And let me tell you, whether you watched them once or twice, if you understand most of the plots of the stories or not, whether you first cried or had the feels to these movies. You can’t deny that you just need to watch them only once or twice cause these films are the most common to watch, enjoy, and to bond over them. Plus you may have more memories and moments with someone or by yourself, whether it be the animation or the characters or the music for the second time or infinite time, you’re still gonna love it and never regret watching these amazing films. 🥰 Also thank you for making this video I been waiting for so long even though it’s has been almost two weeks but it felt like forever in a good that you finally made this video and that you enjoyed some of ours favorites. Mine being A Silent Voice. Maquia, Wolf Children, etc. And I love and adore Makoto Shinkai’s work, he’s literally my favorite anime Directors as well as Hayao Miyazaki and both are inspiration for me to becoming an artist and to achieve my goals. And Yes “Your Name” will be one of his best Works and best anime film ever as well as “Spirited Away” and it’s Beautiful. I got interested in perfect blue and went to watch it. And I have to say that my mind is blown! I absolutely love that movie. Then I came back watched the rest of your video and I think its great that you don't give out the plot too much.

two movies that have stuck to me are in this corner of the world and whisper of the heart. i relate to shizuku so much, i watched it when i was fourteen and i had trouble deciding what i was gonna do in the future. i don't have any big goals so i felt aimless but watching whisper of the heart made me feel a lot better. we can't miss the cute romance too hehe, keiji and howl are my two ghibli crushes ♡♡

Your name is perfect!! Thanks for the recommendation! I recommend Garden of words, I don't know if you already watched but I recommend a lot cause I think you'll like it! It's short but very emotional and the animation is beautiful! I think it's the same studio of Your name, but I'm not sure! And I recommend Big fish and begonia too cause it's beautiful! I adore this animation! I always forget to recommend, but I love this animation!

I could write an essay about anime movies that I like but i wont in here, Im glad u've featured Satoshi Kon because he is one of my all time favorite directors and his movies are so unique, adding to ur beautiful list "The garden of words" and 'Weathering with you" by the same director of 'Your name', "Akira" which in my opinion deserves an Oscar, 'Colorful" is a really good movie with a strong message and a great soundtrack, "Hotarubi no mori e" or more known as "top 10 plot twists in anime' , for people who like shoujo anime ' Anthem of the heart" and "I want to eat your pancreas" are definitely for u, "In this corner of the world" is a really chill heartwarming movie , and I will end this list with the masterpiece 'Metropolis". Thank u for reading

I'm glad that you included MAQUIA in your list because tbh, that's my fave anime movie of all time. I would like to recommend THE ANTHEM OF THE HEART, if ever you haven't watched it yet. I love the soundtrack of that anime and i honestly still listen to it coz its so wonderful even tho its been 2 years since i first watched it. Its so heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time (your words lol) plus it will teach you many lesson so pls consider watching it x
