Last time I was aboard was somewhere around 1999-2000. Will be nice to see what has change and/or improved since I was there.

This used to be where KrakenCon was held

Wish I could go, hope in a few years. Really hope The Best for this event, and hope it becomes an anual event like many others anime and history events, love to see my 2 passions united like that. Can't wait to see the videos of all content creators showing how the event was.

I thought you were cosplaying as Arknight's Doctor for a second, but that is a cool way to keep your identity while still going to the con. Amagi love

It was a good time to be had. It has me now interested in trying my hand at cosplaying cause the lack of an Essex cosplayer was disappointing and I am already seeing the challenges faced in trying to make a costume work. Trying to come up with ideas, figuring out where shortcuts in details are acceptable due to difficulty or acessability of the metarials required is actually interesting. Currently trying to figure out what to do with the straps on an Essex Jacket cause I am not seeing things for attacking the straps that look like hte ones in game. Planning on using a dickies work shirt as the base of the jacket since it is about the right color. Not sure how to put Essex on the base shir cause pain would be easier but would wear after a few uses while stitching it in might lead to tearing.

@@setiem13 i might attempt that later. This is my first time trying a cosplay and the jacket is my first focus. Likely to make a couple changes such as thigh high shorts over tights and a tucked in shirt since not a girl.

It would be only the 2nd reason for me to go to Commiefornia. The first one being the USS Iowa museum (my home state).

@@nephalos666 Yeah, lived there for 38 years. Also the RMS Queen Mary is another cool bote to see. Used to have a Soviet sub outside of it as well, but I'm not sure if that's still around. Good place to travel the coastline and visit these museums.
