It's not coincidence. Your devices (especially your phones) are listening and the TOS for installing these apps allows them to spy on you even when they're not running. That's why you're getting targeted ads and videos.

Thank you, always good to see the process from a professional. But this is deceptively simple. There is so much experience and decisions going on between the construction lines and the rough lines. I saw so many vids, know a lot of theory, but still struggle with consistency after 2 years of drawing. I should do more focused studies to finally get the hang of drawing character faces!

Search up "TenTen 28 days of painting" (free art exercises with instruction on artstation) I think you'll find it extremely useful as TenTen leads you through a 28 day regimen of art exercises building up from the foundation of deconstructing complex into simple shapes to building multiple 3D characters. TenTen explains his process and instruction in a logical manner thats simple and easy to digest with guaranteed results as long as you're consistent and practice a lot. Go try it out you might like what you see. (Again...I know i sound sales-sy but It's totally free 😅)

one of the major things the seperate professional artists and hobbyists or people who just don't draw is the phrase "in a way that makes sense". drawing is pretty odd because it has a lot of details and things to pay attention to, and it's often quite hard to learn from watching artists draw because they do a lot of stuff purely by intuition or reflex. what makes sense to someone familiar with it is completely different from what makes sense for someone starting out.

The extreme low angle is something I struggle with because I constantly doubt the shape of the underside of the chin and curve of the jaw, especially if the character doesn't have a cute moe shape. I'll definitely keep practicing and studying anatomy, but I also need to be more willing to make mistakes in order to grow and improve. And if I haven't asked already (sorry if I have), could you please consider doing a video about what you think should be included in an artstyle bible? A guide that demonstrates the artstyle of a project, what is considered going off model, how to handle simplification due to perspective, etc.

This is an amazing video! Tough, I'm slightly struggling on the box method for the low perspective head. I'm not sure if anyone else has had similar issues, but during the process before adding detail, the head seems to get deformed like it still want's to be a very bad 3/4 or side profile view with weirdly placed jawline. Maybe it's just skill issue on my part, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

@@azamakhtar7556 I agree with you. Depending on the quality of these drawings, they may get corrected by an animation director or a chief animation director. The time it takes to draw one frame of genga varies a lot, depending on the skill level of the animator, the complexity of the shot, the style of the animation, and the deadline of the project. Some animators may draw one frame in a few minutes, while others may take hours or even days. Im pretty sure the average time for a professional animator is about 30 minutes per frame. some animators may work faster or slower than others.

4:08 Portruding jaw... callling some peoples ethnic features "Gorilla like" feels wrong. Some people naturally have maxillary prognathism like West Africans for an example. I get this is directed to drawing japanese characters (with associated beauty standards in anime), so I'm guessing there might be ignorance involved with that statement with no mallicious intent behind it but still people get implications from that type of wording that a persons jaw being like that makes them akin to a gorilla and less human like. Don't personally mean to be harsh. I like your methods and art though. (I'm waiting to be attacked by the comment section for this take).
