No it's probably a mother that's lost its baby. Predators in their mothering mode can do some amazing things.

It’s amazing to me how the animals who are considered the predators or the big bad are helping out the small ones who can’t defend themselves, it’s heartwarming 💜 Like their predators but they have enough sense to know when another animal is in danger

Elephants are so amazing. They're so smart, and seem to have compassion. Or maybe it's a sense of justice. I seriously doubt that elephant was friendly to the injured lion. She just didn't like the fact that the hyenas were taking advantage. It seems they don't like seeing predators in predator mode.

female animals which just gave birth are usually more than happy to adopt babies from other species. this is really cute but also scary as when the babies become adults they may become prey :/
