These guys understand music in a different way than most people do

I saw the these guys live in 2022. Needless to say after walking out of the venue, getting in my car, driving literally 250 miles back home, and 1 week later..I was stunned in the best way possible. AMAZING. Can’t wait to see them again. But I gotta take off a few days to recover..

I've been listening to the first 12 seconds of the song over and over trying to figure it out. The low notes punctuate a fours beat but it makes more sense to count it in threes? I think I'm going to see if somebody has done a song analysis lol. It feels like it tricks you into feeling the wrong beat at first
@flynnedwards

@@xkidgey I think a lot of this is in 4/4 based on what I hear, probably with a couple of bars with different time signatures here and there. I have no idea how to interpret the intro tho

i wouldn't say better than a PRS, but close to equal to the best PRS stuff. never thought i'd see a guitar get anywhere near as close to PRS. esp isn't a bad brand or anything, but javier's model is totally different than what they're going for normally. easily in the top 5, maybe top 3 of all artist sig models that ESP has ever done. top 1 and 2 go to metallica and stephen carpenter, of course

@@tym5483 I’ll check them out but I’m with the other guy. It’s hard to find a djent band that is interesting outside of the norm, creating their own personality. I like meshuggah but after a while, I have to stop listening to them because it gets a little boring. Rhythms are always interesting but sometimes melodies aren’t as interesting. Some other bands aren’t as interesting to me either. Gotta find the right amount of djent. I like intervals, haven’t really been able to get into periphery, I’ll even throw Jinjer in there, they’re a weird one but still pretty djenty and I love them. I’ll check your guys out and get back to you on them. AAL have been my go to since I first even got into metal but if I can find someone else I listen ti all the time, that’s good.
They always so stoked to harmonize those pinch harmonics together lol
0:45 that face, boi. Like "Oh yes, here we go"
This song would definitely be the crowd-pleaser because you can tell how much fun the guys are having and are so into it especially Javier haha might be one of his favorites in my opinion. Him and Tosin dissonant/harmonic banter at 2:13 was so fucking cool (So fucking heavy). That's why I would rather be in a band than to perform solo projects because you learn from your bandmates and just have fun with sounds haha love it! The song really ends at 4:20 haha

Funny because AAL started as a solo project for Tosin after he was discovered, him and Misha made the entire first album themselves

you can tell tosin loves the tone at 2:13
It goes without saying, the most inspiring song beyond description.
This song ages like fine wine
random thought: a snarky puppy / AAL collab would be insane 🤯
Unbelievable, I thought this was a studio song.. This blows my mind. They sound unf#$%kng believable!
That breakdown drops me every f*cking time. Monumentals.
I'd like a double bill of Animals as Leaders and The Comet is Coming. That's a show I would pay strong money for.
Tosins silhouette in this video is so sick he looks like an anti hero holding some sort of musical buster sword in a gothic anime 😈👹❤️
They opened with this song at the show I went to. Craziest way to start a show
Let me re-play this thing, cause the definitions of super Badass-heavy and insane progressive metal have been updated ... My favorite of the group, it opened my head to the sound of the band some years ago.
Tosin headbangs in 11/8.
I see The Joy of Motion's atmosphere on Javier's ESP guitar..
Heard it the first time and fell in love with it. Saw the performance here and still I am in love with it! 🌈❤🙌

One of the best breakdowns of the current day and age! Love the melodic contour and the lit drumming in this tune!
There's a warmth to this whole album that I can't really describe but I love it.
That smile at 0:54 when you know everything drops. Fuckin chills
My favorite part of every AAL live video is the less technical part of the song where they have a moment to vibe without concentrating on what theyre playing for 15 seconds lmaooooo. so goated
thank you AAL, your music makes me always focus while working
This is another level of skill and talent......respect!
Se me hizo, como un recuerdo renovadl, de los mejores de esos tiempos que no se pierden pero tienden a perderse a los lejos, una conversación entre Robert Fripp y Adrian con las guitarras, y un batera en otro tiempo.
Definitely one of their most lit songs 🔥
This song is awesome.
Drummer ❤❤
