Im German, just to clear things up: A Backpfeife means slapping someone in the face, but mostly with the intention to punish. A Backpfeifengesicht is someone with a face that makes you want to punch it.

Sam Schellhase a herta is a drum rudiment (or rythmm) where the first 2 notes are twice as fast as the last 2. If you were using 16th notes, it would be 2 16ths notes followed by 2 8th notes. An example would be the first kick pattern in the song bleed by meshuggah.

Yeah. Mind spun is just steady 16th notes, so not too much switching or anything. This album went harder with the thumping than any others. There's the intro to cognitive contortions, this, and Ectogenesis that all have some pretty tech thumping in them. Tbh the only thing that even compares off the older stuff is To Lead You To An Overwhelming Question and An Infinite Regression.
