Before the Euro, when the different european nations had their individual currencies, it was fascinating...because in the US we have this mindset where it's mostly presidents on our money. But European currency, in addition to royal and political leaders, featured scientists, heroes, artists, writers and musicians, philanthropists, inventors, social leaders, engineers, all kinds of people. Imagine that? What a different message it sends.

She should have gotten a much longer segment. Especially with your support for the animals ellen.

I agree, although that doesnt mean jane wouldve wanted to stay longer. Ive read a lot about her and shes much more comfortable in nature than in front of cameras etc. So maybe she didn't want to be there that long

Dr. Jane is my hero since 35 years and I had the luck and honor to meet her in Vienna 3 years ago. It was nearly overwhelming to see her, talk to her, hear her speech. The word "inspiration" is in my opinion overused but here, for Dr. Jane Goodall it truly fits. This woman is a inspiration for the world, for every natur and animal lover, carer and preserver, and very much so for my personal life. Happy Birthday Jane!

I was fortunate enough to meet her back in the early 90's, when I went to school in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. I can't remember anyone inspiring me as much, before or after. I was quite frankly awestruck. Her importance to conservation cannot be overstated.

Miserable is right. Some people are never satisfied with the good others do. They always have to be tearing someone else down for not being "pure" enough. I guess it's so they can feel smug that they've made the world a little bit meaner, nastier, more hateful, & more depressing than they found it. What a miserable life.

It's important that people especially in the West let wild animals be wild animals because that is where they are the happiest. Im happy that people are realising that chimps are not pets and don't want to be pets.

I am so grateful to came up to TheEllenShow page I love this show and also Dr. Jane Goodall the way she loves the Nature especially Chimpanzees. I made one relaxing sound video with Gorilla. I always saw her and read her interesting adventures and actual experienced with different animals through National Geographic Magazines. Very interesting. Love you both.Stay safe.

I fell in love with her ever since I saw the video of the gorilla giving her a hug before she went back into the wild. That gorilla felt and knew Jane's sincere love and dedication towards her and was showing her gratitude. It was beautiful to see. Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey and Birute Galdikas were legends to me in teenage and early adult years. They are the reason I studied Anthropology. I didn't follow that path as I got older. I'm currently a stay at home mom. Seeing Jane makes me remember that excitement and passion I had for learning and environmental/species preservation. My dream now, at 37, is to one day interact with a great ape in the wild. I love you Jane!
