2fa can be annoying because you have to keep checking your email and re login everytime you play

It’s not every time you play, only when you log into a new device- or an old one you haven’t used for awhile. Additionally; a mild occasional nuisance is worth not losing years of items.

As someone who is mildly experienced with programming (Python mostly), I can confidently say that 2FA isn't that easily bypassed. With loading times to register when you put in a code, it would take much over 15 minutes to get through, so 2FA is generally safe against bruteforcing.

I remember my friend during the data breach not believing the email she got was true, and as she only had her spare affected so she didn't mind she couldn't get back in, but it makes you wonder how many other people found it sketchy and never got back into their accounts.... I nearly was forever locked out of my account, and I was for about 10 months locked out because the person that is my parent account changed my password, but luckily by password guessing I got back in. I could only imagine how bad the data breach could have been for everyone that got locked out, from having their password changed like I had happen in 2021, or by thinking the data breach password change email was sketchy or even just not seeing it at all, I'm so glad I at least access to my account, even if I can never access my parent email or change it.

As somebody who was hacked recently because of the data breach, please do enable 2 step verification! If i had it originally i couldve still had all my items and animals to this day, accounts from this data breach are beint accessed to this day

Mine was also hacked around a year and a half to two years ago, I wish I had done this as well. I quit playing because of it and am just recently playing a bit again

i want to but my i can’t remember the parent account password and i’m so sad

I remember getting hacked from the security breach in 2020 and like It was really sad I've gotten far I spent money, traded for rares etc. That account was three years old like imagine working hard for something and it all just gets taken away one day

I am so glad my old username was cringe, otherwise I wouldn’t have changed to a new account that has not been leaked

As someone who had their account hacked way back what had a bunch off rare things. A few things I recommend you do is. First if you get bored of aj or know you can't play it for a long time change you're charcter to something simple along whit your user and such (also you can remove very rare things form your trade list). Second is if you have the time and memory try changing your password every once in a while. Sorry for the bad english and such I just wanted to share because I been taking this two extra steps not willing to lose years of work again because some people thought it was fun or cool to hack an account.

I'll have to watch the rest later! But I have to say congrats on 860 subs!! 🎉 I haven't been here for awhile... By a while I mean 1 week😶

On AJPW every time I log in I get the thing telling me to hook my parent email but every time I try I legit receive nothing 😭 like why won’t they send it

Kinda a reason I never got into rares, in my experience the AJ security is shit and throughout my 7 years of playing I never once shared my password, however every time id star accumlating some worth my account would just be hacked even after having unique long passwords, and of course AJHQ wouldn't do shit. And then of course the data breach happened and they finally decided to update their security and add 2fa which is something that is also pretty much useless as the Parent dash doesn’t have 2fa also. And in my experience some of the times i've gotten hacked they had logged into my parent dash which means someone can get into your parent dash as easy as they always did and just turn off 2fa. That's a major reason in hindsight as to why I quit. Sorry for the rant Kijjikon lol

Weirdest thing happened today and I don't know of it's to do with hacking or just a glitch. I was just chilling in Moku'ahi (testing my audio quality) and then a random jammer just APPEARED in the air and then disappeared again shortly after. It had no name tag, nothing. This happened again and each time the same, except the animals were always different and normal looking jammers. I think maybe it could be a glitch where when someone spawns in, it makes them appear fora second or so in the AIR in Moku'ahi- so weird. Literally happened today, a couple hours ago. I was so confused 😕

last year i almost lost my account beacuse of the data breach (i think) i logged out of my account and i logged back in and it said i wasnt able to, luckily i was able to change the password so glad i was

The problem is that if you have a acc that has been in the data breach your email, password and user can just be on a random website and it dosent matter if you have 2fa cuz they have your email and they can just get the code easily. Also thos fake videos where they say "you can get a hacked, banned or suspended" acc "back" by putting your PASSWORD in a email thats not even AJHQs email. Like bruh if your acc got banned or hacked putting your new aj user and pasword is not even enough evidence to prove that its your acc and if you acc got banned its LONG gone by now.

when I was hacked, ajhq wouldn't return my items or reimburse me with any sapphires because I didn't have 2FA. lesson learned, got 2FA now!

Tbh I feel like aj is trying to make up for when it was hacked in 2020 and the bots I feel like aj is trying to make it more “safe” so parents continue to let there kids play still so they aren’t concerned about there private info getting leaked like emails and credit card info (if they payed for sapphires) but hey that’s just a theory! A star theory!

My main account was mad many years ago and I can’t get 2fa cuz it’s not connected to any emails

So that explains why i am unable to login to my main account 😢

i got hacked from the video email method, i was trying to recover my friends old account that they gave me permission to use but forgot the password. lost like 5 solids worth

bruh in the date breach, the email that was connected to my acc got deletead, and wen date breach happend, I simplely coldn't change password, like I can't do anythingh. and just NOW, 4 years after this date breach, ive found out why my red wind, alphas and much more got yeped from my acc. lmao I was a child in the time, and tough that the own ajhq was stealling my itens! but now Ive re-started on a new acc, gladly new and whit NO data breach.

Lots of people do it to get rid of their account when they quit or extra items. If they aren’t hacking it shouldn’t be wrong.

I also lost my accounts and I didn’t know what my password was lol

Maybe the data breach is why someone spent $100+ for Clash of Clans… 🤔 All jokes aside, this was a really good video! Very informative and important! Now I understand why Aj made me reset my password. I’m glad you also addressed the fact that 2FA isn’t as protective as Animal Jam says it is. Animal Jam needs to set the time to 5 minutes or less. I’m impressed you discussed item selling. I’ve seen content creators I trusted say that item selling is ok. It’s actually illegal to sell in-game items. Note that it isn’t illegal to buy them. But you shouldn’t anyway. It’s extremely unsafe.

This is a great video, I've already done everything to make sure my accounts are secure. Also, you can add two step authorization to your email. I've done this already. But if you do this you have to use your phone number and get a code through that or some alternative way of signing in unless you turn it off. Making sure your accounts are secure is a great way to keep yourself safe online.
