I participated in Art Fight for the first time this year as well! I got a few revenges on my attacks but when I got my first attack on me, it was such a great feeling. It helped me enjoy art again seeing peoples reaction to getting some art from me, and I made progress in my skill with trying to draw different body types and such. Excited for next year :] ( hopefully I can contribute more points next time, I mainly did friendly fires xD )

Honestly, this is all just so sad. When I was around eight years old I was obsessed with AJ (I still am I guess, but ever since Flash was shut down Animal Jam Classic has been completely neglected (I understand that most of it is because AJ is of Flash origin and AJHQ can't really update it because of that, but that doesn't really mean that it should be completely forgotten about)) . Since then, Wildworks has gradually become more and more money hungry. They shut down Fer al in favor of Cinder (a game that is pretty much centered around Blockchains and Crypto gaming (both of which are horrible for the planet (I honestly find it funny how Animal Jam, which was about protecting the environment and was once partnered with National Geographic, comes from the same exact company). They completely destroyed the lore (as a writer, it was one of my favorite aspects) in favor of a commercialized and all over the place continuation (say what you want about it, I definitely found it interesting, but not exactly in a good way tbh). They re-wrote the Alpha's personalities which caused them to seem extremely out of character (specifically Peck and Greely) . They added the super boxes, revamped the premium thing, added display cases which costed money, instead of adding the Trials of Zios and stuff in ajpw, they added Crystallis (I liked the design, but it just doesn't feel like AJ) which soon turned out to include fantasy pets, which is another recent thing behind a paywall. I get that companies need money, but the memberships seemed to have been enough for AJHQ until around last year. They added back ads, and pw isn't the same anymore. The Jambassadors are just a small part of it, and so many of the ones from the 2021 wave (I'm pretty sure the applications were in 2020, but I don't quite remember when they were announced) have quit. The only active one I can really think of is Queen (Qw072) and even she has gone inactive for certain periods of time (she said in one of her recent videos that she was on vacation, and she also is busy with school and stuff, which is very understandable, but that doesn't stop me from missing her old videos and the times when she would post and stream more often). I honestly, don't enjoy playing ajpw anymore and I still love playing AJC, but the community is super dead and I wish it could go back to what it was in 2016-2019

i was once scammed by someone by using their trade list to get people to buy. they said they’d trade me a rainbow spike if i got them their wish (leaf blower backpack) and so i went to the explorer and bought the only one. turns out it was the same person offering the spike. then they went offline and i never got the spike! i was very gullible ✊😔

Already at the beginning of this I'm gonna say, stop posting art on Tiktok just leave. Tiktok is just like if you want to really hate yourself as an artist. I've seen nothing but people bullying on there. It's a video platform. Why unless you are an animator, would you go there in the first place? Honestly? I've participate in the past 4 years and basically just like come up with an OC for people to revenge on, don't worry about the refs. Don't expect art back, consider it a good will fun thing where you get to draw any character you want. The points really don't matter.

the Fit Check feature is something ive wanted to be in aj for YEARS . making outfits is one of my favorite things to do in this game, so knowing that soon in the future i will be able to make my outfits even better???? HECK YES! im so excited, i havent been this excited over an animal jam feature in such a long time, it feels refreshing. i feel like my kid self again waiting for what might come next in future updates.

I clicked on this video because of the human centipide in the thumbnail, I don't have tiktok so I had no idea how and why it was related to artfight and I just have to laugh. All this drama is beyond ridiculous, artfight should primarily be about gifting art to others. I'm happy to receive art of my characters and I'm happy to make art of others characters. I don't have the time or energy to draw much anymore, so challanges like artfight is revitilazing for me and proves I can still draw after long periods of inactivity.

Seeing people say "beginner artists shouldnt do art fight" or people feel entitled to attacks/revenges is so strange to me. Like its supposed to be fun. I get its a competition at the end of the day and people are gonna be competitive but being nasty about it just brings everyone down. Theres a difference between being competitive and being toxic. Also art fight is a great opportunity for beginner artists to build their skills by drawing characters they probably usually wouldn't draw. Ive participated two years now, and much like you said, its such a fun experience because Im just doing it for fun. I saw the drama on tiktok but I just kind of ignored it because its really not that serious. I don't care who wins. I treat it like how I treat Splatfest in Splatoon. I simply just like drawing people's ocs. I'm doing it for my enjoyment at the end of the day. I pumped out a lot of attacks this year, becayse I was REALLY motivated this year. I slowed down near the end though. Im just here in my little corner drawing like a madman. I really hope i have the time to participate next year

im not sure that you’ll notice this comment because im like 4 months late, but i want to tell my story. when i was younger, i sadly got groomed multiple times. i didnt realize i was getting groomed until this july! but before i knew, i coped with hypersexuality and proshipping. i was pretty young so of course i didnt see a issue and i thought that proshipping and sexulizing myself. but everytime i looked at proship content, it deeply triggered me, so i decided to stop and move to a different coping mechanisms. but again, it was just causing harm to my body and mind so i seeked professional help, that was the best choice. im not fully recovered by proshipping yet, but im getting out of it. i had thoughts of proshipping again, but i try my best to stop myself. at the end, im best without it. message here, FICTION DOES AFFECT REALITY!! thank you so much for spending the time to listen to my story!

I'm sad that people didn't draw my characters, or that my ratio is bad, but I still kept drawing because it's fun trying to draw all of these characters and practice new skills, and sometimes it's nice to go to a profile of a newer artist and draw their character cause I know I would've lost my mind with excitement if someone older and more skilled at art than me drew cool art of my characters during art fight. Honestly I didn't see any of the drama either, buuuut I also am never on tiktok so yknow awkndawj

It's crazy how I'm watching this, have never played animal jam before, and sadly can relate to someone I knew personally ending up being a groomer. A few days ago a friend of mine for 4 years was outed as a groomer. When I was told I panicked and just banned them from my discord and blocked them everywhere. I had absolutely no idea the entire time and it horrified me. Another close friend of my had no idea and she was terrified. My girlfriend was terrified. Everyone was. I'll be honset, part of me honsetly misses them and wishes I never found out, part of me still wants to beileve the lies, because the pain of finding out the truth hurts so bad. Ive been through toxic relationships before, family, friends, and joyfriends. Hell I was SA'd by a ex friend of mine when we were minors. Sp I thought I could pick up the signs of anything thrown my way at this point... but I failed. And I feel like I failed to protect not only the vitcims, but the people of my small discord server. It's for the best I found out about the truth, but it still hurts to know that someone I knew and trusted for 4 years, someone who I went to visit and came to visit me, SOMEONE WHO KNOWS MY ADDRESS was a groomer the whole time. Thank you for making this video and making me feel less alone.

The fact AJ 'trys' to make this a kidd game and ban ppl for silly reasons ot NO reasons at all, then turn around and let PREDATORS be here, while the children who did NOTHING are banned, and couldn't care LESS abt a HORRIBLE person. If AJ wants to be a kids game, they need to step up, AND LISTEN TO THE PLAYERD. Ppl are getting traumatized and some kids DON'T EVEN KNOW what THIS IS, the fact AJ has NERVE to let this happen, and a JAMBASSADOR?! Idk why they recommend it for young kids, when OBVIOUSLY it isn't. Kids learning new words, seeing things happen, have things happen, and let it slide? NO, NO, NO. Nah ah. I am GLAD my siblings don't play. I am really scared for the future of AJ, also letting them STILL BE A JAMBASSADOR?? Uh, no. They REALLY need to live up to their name, and actually HEAR ppl out, this is a danger, and it is HORRIBLE. There is almost NO hope for AJ anymore, it's never gonna be the same like it used to be. Maybe someday AJ will listen, and parents won't hv to worry so much. THIS is the exact reason they do. This was my first artfight ever and I was actually pretty lucky. I got attacked four times and the people I attacked were really nice to me. This was a big worry for me at first, because my art isn’t that good.

Ive had points in my life where I preferred classic, and a huge play wild phase. I still enjoy both versions but I just wish classic got the same attention as play wild. I know play wild has a bigger and probably more profitable playerbase but theres still tons of classic players who would love a fraction of the updates on play wild. Im an artist myself and would KILL for the play wild painting game. I want layers!! I want an eyedropper tool!! Why cant we have it too? Why do we get so few updates?

Hi! 2nd year artfighter here! I also originally joined last year due to tiktok, but also because of KZread, and i want to say that despite all the backlash and hate from tiktok, On the discord and actual website I've only been treated with kindness(this extends to last year aswell) (sorry for incoming rant!!) I know that my art isn't pretty all the time, not everybody has to like my cartoony and goofy looking style, but I know that if during my first year, if I even got one negative comment I would've quit right there, and would've never touched the website again, which I something I'd never want to happen to anybody. Artfight is a fun thing to do! its helped me improve so much and draw designs and characters I wouldn't even think twice about! And While the points are fun, and I like being able to collect them and maybe win a fun badge, But I think its more fun to be able to draw and see that improvement. And about mass attacks! I have personally done a few, and also have received a few, and personally I don't see anything wrong with them(as long as their sfw and allowed for character permissions!!) I get so excited to see my characters in mass attacks, and From comments I've received from my mass attacks this year people think the same. In Short Mass Attacks are fun!! fun to make, and fun to receive!! Artfight is a month for art, creation, improvement and fun!! and after all its just a game in the long run, don't take it to seriously! 😁 Cant wait for next year!

Idk why they recommend it for young kids, when OBVIOUSLY it isn't. Kids learning new words, seeing things happen, have things happen, and let it slide? NO, NO, NO. Nah ah. I am GLAD my siblings don't play. I am really scared for the future of AJ, also letting them STILL BE A JAMBASSADOR?? Uh, no. They REALLY need to live up to their name, and actually HEAR ppl out, this is a danger, and it is HORRIBLE. There is almost NO hope for AJ anymore, it's never gonna be the same like it used to be. Maybe someday AJ will listen, and parents won't hv to worry so much. THIS is the exact reason they do. This was my first artfight ever and I was actually pretty lucky. I got attacked four times and the people I attacked were really nice to me. This was a big worry for me at first, because my art isn’t that good.
I joined this year as I found out this year actually! I had so much fun on art fight and I'm lucky I didn't walk into the toxic side of it :')
And I agree people shouldn’t be looking for relationships on animal jam ESPECIALLY since there is mostly people you don’t know that play on that game.
Animal jam is just not what it used to be and there are already kids sharing their own knowledge of sexual content on there and with all the creeps on there makes it 10 times worse

I remember I came across someone who was going around trying to get people to erp both in-game and on Discord maybe about a year or two ago. Granted, they asked for people's age to confirm if they're an adult, but they shouldn't have been advertising it THERE in a game primarily for kids.
People do not follow character rules at all. Someone drew NSFW of my bison/horse character (who is strictly feral) and cried to the mods when I told them it was disgusting and they need to delete it.
Ive had points in my life where I preferred classic, and a huge play wild phase. I still enjoy both versions but I just wish classic got the same attention as play wild. I know play wild has a bigger and probably more profitable playerbase but theres still tons of classic players who would love a fraction of the updates on play wild. Im an artist myself and would KILL for the play wild painting game. I want layers!! I want an eyedropper tool!! Why cant we have it too? Why do we get so few updates?

Hi! 2nd year artfighter here! I also originally joined last year due to tiktok, but also because of KZread, and i want to say that despite all the backlash and hate from tiktok, On the discord and actual website I've only been treated with kindness(this extends to last year aswell) (sorry for incoming rant!!) I know that my art isn't pretty all the time, not everybody has to like my cartoony and goofy looking style, but I know that if during my first year, if I even got one negative comment I would've quit right there, and would've never touched the website again, which I something I'd never want to happen to anybody. Artfight is a fun thing to do! its helped me improve so much and draw designs and characters I wouldn't even think twice about! And While the points are fun, and I like being able to collect them and maybe win a fun badge, But I think its more fun to be able to draw and see that improvement. And about mass attacks! I have personally done a few, and also have received a few, and personally I don't see anything wrong with them(as long as their sfw and allowed for character permissions!!) I get so excited to see my characters in mass attacks, and From comments I've received from my mass attacks this year people think the same. In Short Mass Attacks are fun!! fun to make, and fun to receive!! Artfight is a month for art, creation, improvement and fun!! and after all its just a game in the long run, don't take it to seriously! 😁 Cant wait for next year!
Animal Jam has been downhill in previous years. With things like this, and more. Bullying, Harassment, ETC. Good thing i left before it all fell to flames
