I don't know why to guy is making it seem like he'll attack the moment a rodent goes by or that he's as dangerous as he's saying. This guy is supposed to be a "professional"? Bro, get real. Clearly not very experienced with monitor lizards. My monitor was very well trained.

@@Derik64 While I agree, with an experienced keeper, black throated monitors can be quite mellow. However, now matter how tame a monitor lizard is, you can't really get rid of their predator instinct. If a small mouse of animal moved in front of its face, it would first smell it, (using the tongue) then it would try and go after it

My dad honestly did that all the time. Anytime I'd be at his house as a kid and ask what's for dinner, he'd just say "dead animals!"

Of all the late night talk show hosts, Conan is the coolest when it comes to animals.

LMFAO! I paused at the right moment at 02:04, the look on that bird's face is priceless!! No wonder he noped out of there!!

I love how Conan just goes at it petting these animals even if it's spawn from hell. Kimmel would be brought a bunny and he would almost always ask to be tucked in behind his desk.

I just love how Conan is so much into animals and he's not scared 💙

For those who don't know, you really need to check out the original "Late Night" clips (NBC). This here is sedate. If you want madness, check out Jarod Miller's appearances: the kid was practically throwing tigers and cobras at Conan, who was completely enjoying himself. Jarod and Conan would troll each other constantly throughout the chaotic segments. You owe it to yourselves.

Many of these particular animals are rescues and cannot survive if put back in the wild. They're used as ambassadors of their species, educating people so they can better understand them
