Doc. Atbash I believe this version is slightly different, possibly a different mix from the same recording sessions that were made into the final title theme.

Yes, I suffer from anxiety and depression. I bought the game right when the pademic started knowing very little of the months ahead. This game pushed me through a lot. There were moments that I forgot I was depressed. All of this will sound pathetic for some, but this game probably saved my life.

Man, I'm at work, listening to this 3 years later, and emotions just hit me hard. There's something about going through rough times, keeping your head down, and pushing through, just to get to the other side and finally realize what a grind it was. I've seen some people saying New Horizons saved their life. For me, it gave me consistent happiness and contentment during a time when it was in short supply. I'll always be grateful for that.

It's really easy to simply play a note or musical phrase, but to make a note or phrase sound perfect in the context of the piece takes a completely different level of effort and musicianship. He played that phrase beautifully.

I had a cyst so big in my ovary that I couldn’t walk because of the pain. My husband bought me the game in March 2020 right when we went into quarantine and the toilet paper was gone from stores. This game will always have a special place in my heart ❤️

2020 really was a blessing and a curse at the same time huh? It sucked we couldn’t go outside, but at the same time it gave us time to just relax and do nothing but play animal crossing. It’ll certainly go down in history as one of the most unique years of all time- and I’ll remember it for what it did right; starting my love for animal crossing :)

I must say, that's because of Animal Crossing that I started to make videos and that I met my online best friend, Animal Crossing was an important step in my life, so I thank you Nintendo, for making games like these, in which, friendships and passions can form.

I remember it was 2020 COVID-19 and it was my birthday… my dad knew I liked Nintendo games, and asked GameStop for the most popular nintendo game out right now and that was “animal crossing new horizons” my dad came back from the store and I remember I was in my room literally CRYING because I had nothing to do I couldn’t see my friends, I couldn’t have a proper birthday, and it just SUCKED! And then my dad comes in the room and he holds this download code for a game and I remember looking at the card and I said “oh isn’t that the most popular game on the switch right now?” And my dad said “yes I asked them for the most popular one and this is what they had” so I typed in the code and get greeted by Timmy and tommy in the airport I remember my look at the start of the game was black hair with the blue-polka dot shirt and the tan colored shorts and my sister came in the room and had asked what are you playing? I said that dad had got me this game and my sister asked if she could play and I said uh ok and she made her character to and literally that entire 2020 was just me and my sister playing animal crossing good times… Gooood times…

hey, remember when this came out and everyone was forced to stay home and acnh was one of the few escapism we got? is it bad if i am bit nostalgic for those days?

This song makes me get tears in my eyes and I don't know why. I love it so much. Brilliant performance.

I'm already can see myself after 7 years, reading this with tears on the eyes... Animal crossing will forever take a special place in my heart.

Eric Miyashiro is an amazing trumpeter...you guys don't know how cool it is that he's playing this. The flugelhorn is a really "squirrelly" instrument, and he makes it sound easy.

ACNH is such an important part of my life. It connected me with my family during Covid, we spent hours on each others islands and in voice chat. We weren't close before the game, but it was a reason to come together, and now we have a shared history and closeness. When I hear this music it reminds me of my family connection 💕

You can hear that the song is following a 4 bar but in such a way that it's much easier to time the offbeat sounds when you put your body movement on it's own beat.

This games soundtrack needs more recognition tbh

Probably the weakest soundtrack of the main series. It’s good, but the other ones are just that much better

Seriously forget how good this music was.

Everytime i whistle or hum this, i get a lump in my thraot and teary eyed. Such a nostalgic song, regardless if you play Animap crossing or not.

Sometimes I just sit at the title screen of ACNH to hear this

I used to do that with KH1. Video Game music often doesn't get any appreciation outside it's demographic, and it's such a shame.

The entire Animal Crossing staff, let alone the sound department, needs a round of applause. This is phenomenal! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

The early months of the Covid pandemic, i bought ACNH because my friend was excited for it, and i of course wanted to join in with them and play.. We didn't play together much (because their in Austria and im from Canada) but when we did it was fun.. waking up and booting up the game to hear this theme will always be my favorite

I watch this on bad days and it makes my whole day better, especially the guy in the green. He’s got such great vibes. Thank you, you talented group of musicians.

Logan Dixon probably because it’s the same as how they recorded it for the game. The only difference is there isn’t the added sound effects in post.

the only thing that's missing is the little replies of a synth-y sound towards the end there (idk how to describe it but hppefully you know what i mean)

This sounds so accurate to how it sounds in game that I couldn't even tell whether it was really coming from the instruments or background music was playing, excellent job to everyone.

Oh my god, brings back memories.. this sort of stuff makes me want to cry happy tears!!! 🥲🥲🥲

This brings me back to the times when we all thought that quarantine would only be three weeks.

airplanetastic y’all need to try and play other games. I swear half the switch user base thinks the only games that exist are animal crossing, Pokémon, Mario and smash

I've always loved that sound, it's what makes the song feel whole to me and like the guy who commented before me, I always wait for that sound before I start up my game. I just wish I knew what instrument it was played on I can just barely not make it out

It's at 0:37 I believe (in the middle of the pause, right?) I thought that would've been in the string bass part (not analyzing it too much). Maybe he forgot to play it? Maybe I'm wrong and it's a different instrument they couldn't record from home?

This song makes me emotional. I have been wanting a switch for over two years and I finally got one this February. I got Splatoon 2 and ACNH on there and when I heard the theme for the first time I cried. I have wanted to play it for almost 2 years.q

i love the most performance videos. we need more of these
