I once found a cute little secret. I had an empty plot on my Island and then it started to rain, then I looked closely at the little paper board with the Nook Incorporated logo and I realized it was all warped from the rain! How cute!

also if you get an umbrella out while its raining, you can see the little raindrops bouncing off the umbrella!

Another thing - if you unwrap a gift intended for another villager, you can just wrap it up again and they won't notice! That way you don't have to lie OR be honest.

I would do that, but I like seeing my villagers open the gift as it is, and I like being surprised with what the present is.

I think the difference between the able sisters and Nook's cranny is that Nook's cranny is more of a "corporate" thing, likely with their own guidelines for store hours. While the able sisters are more of a family-run small business and they're willing to keep open to satisfy the customer. especially when they comes over as often as you do and are a friend

Once I went to talk to punchy and he said he heard a rumor we were avatars in a fictional world for someone’s enjoyment. Then rationalized the fact that we only receive three types of wood from tree and why is Tom nook paying us to pick up shells to pay off a debt. Then my character became distressed and doing the worried reaction( automatically) . Then he told me he was kidding and not to worry.

It only happens on Saturdays at 3:33 AM, but if you have a tv in your characters house and turn it on at that time you'll get a creepy alien clip on the screen 👽

If you notice in the museum those escaping ants crawl all the way to a cup of coffee on the table but what they are trying to get are the sugar cubes by the coffee

One that I like is you can use the scare reaction instead of talking to Wisp for the same result.

I just discovered this yesterday when upgrading the museum on my second island to add the art exhibit. When you stand next to the plot when it's under construction with the scaffolding and all that, you can hear little hammers and stuff working on the building! And it stops after dark, like they're done for the day. I only heard it with headphones, so I'm not sure if it's audible without. It is pretty quiet to begin with. Also, you can hear Isabelle's bell hair tie jingle when she moves her head during the morning announcements in headphones, too!

@@lilith8035 i think if you set up another account on the same switch you can have another island. you’d have to pay for the nintendo online subscription again though for the other account.

I teraformed a secret narrow pathway down to Redd's beach then added a stairway to it and got the same message about it being cramped. All the villagers were jammed into the small pathway with a couple that just wouldn't fit standing up on the cliff looking down. It was hilarious. Hmmm, I wonder if I kept a picture of it.

I just did the same. Me and my friend call each other up when he rolls in and the swim/ladder thing became a pain. So I fixed it.

One of the things I thought was cute is when you set up any sort of electric fan in your house and turn it on it will blow items in your room along with the breeze. (Like balloons, clothes, etc.)

There’s unique dialogue with Flick when you commission the giraffe stag. He’s surprised and shocked that you would want to make such a monstrous creation. It’s also a grand model and I’m pretty sure the only commission with unique dialog.

All six of the biggest bugs (Queen Alexandria's Birdwing, Atlas moth, banded dragonfly, Goliath stag beetle, horned Hercules stag beetle, and giraffe stag beetle) have unique dialogue! My favorite is the Atlas moth, which Flick describes as a "ghost who flutters like a bug". He then cries about their short lives.

I haven't seen anyone talking about this; remember that "escaped" Centipede on the wall outside the lab exhibit? Well he's recently moved to on top of the cabinet. Just noticed that the other day. And when you stand in certain spots at the art exhibit, it changes the view/perspective kinda like the ones in the fossil exhibit do.

I'm sure people have figured this out on their own too, but my recently discovered (completely by accident XD) thing is that if you stand within the 4 middle tiles of the statue section in art gallery, it works like the spots in the fossil section and will zoom out to give you a lovely view of the whole area 😊

Fun fact: before you donate flys, but you have ants donated, you can see why they escaped. There is cup of tea on the table, which is covered by the fly cage once you donate it. But the tea has sugar cubes, and that’s what they want. :) it’s honestly such a cute idea/Easter egg.

Lol, when I first started playing animal crossing I thought hitting Gulliver was the only way of waking up-

While wandering in my museum I noticed in the second room in the fossil section (the one where all the line on the ground lead to the animals) when you stand in the empty spot the little light will light up because that’s where humans are supposed to sit in the timeline of evolution. I thought it was a cute detail!

Also when you open a villagers package, the one who wanted you to deliver it will get mad at you for opening it.

Regifting, if you regift something that has been passed to you(villager a) and around (between villagers b and c )and back to you then back to them (villager a), they'll have a vauge recollection pointing out that it looks familiar before shrugging it off.

Just some knowledge from the shops: It was already like that in new leaf with Timmy and Tommy throwing you out and the able sisters keeping open until you leave yourself :D

The reason the shop plays the "go home song" is because that's what happens with shops like that in Japan. You also hear it in libraries but they don't usually play it in clothes shops or similar.

I always wondered what happens when you scan an amiibo of a villager you already have!! Imma defo do that with marshal once I’ve moved him in

Hah, this now explains why I got a “this looks familiar” reaction from a gift one day, I apparently forgot I got it from them 😝 I forget which villager that was though.

I would like to point out if you open other villagers gifts and then rewrap it with the gift wrap paper they wouldn’t bat an eye when it is delivered. This method is good for filling out your inventory or to make sure villagers don’t get items you don’t want them to have.

Hi, just an animal crossing tip that I haven't seen people talk about. The keyboards on Animal Crossing are touchscreen. If you are trying to type something in, for example, the name of a custom design, you can just touch each letter, and it will work. It's really convenient, and not many people seem to know this. Maybe you could put this in a video?

The tight squeeze thing happens with bridges and inclines as well. They don't have to be that close to anything either and especially when you have 10 villagers.

I got that cramped dialogue when i built an incline close to a cliff too, so it's not just buildings. Also, one time i delivered a soccer top to one of my villagers from another villager. When she moved away, she left the top. I forgot the circumstances of when she got that top initially, and one day i decided to give it to the villager who had me deliver the gift in the first place, so he remembered the top. It's cool that he remembered it even though that exchange happened months before.

I love when villagers have pictures of other villagers inside their homes! I had Chèvre on my island once, and she had a picture of Nan on her wall in her house.

The cramped dialogue actually happens with inclines too. Most of my inclines I have lots of terraforming around them, so all my villagers were very cramped at the ceremony. I would assume it would be the same bridges as well if conditions were right.

It really is the little things that makes ACNH so special 😅

10 secrets you DON’T know Me an animal crossing fanatic: ya want to bet?

I once gifted a shirt my villager was already wearing to her again and she said, she would make it her signuture outfit now. Plus I constantly regift things wich I forgot I where I got them from. I hate triggering this diologue just because I don't remember ^^"

Actually you can stay in Nooks Cranny after close by using the sit emote. They wont kick you out till after you stand up. Other small details: Blathers will always be awake on dream islands because he can't sleep in a dream. Sometimes sisterly villagers will mention they are reading a book. One of the books they mention is by Dr Shrunk. Gullivarr will sometimes namecheck Captain Syrup from the Shantae series as well as locations from Donkey Kong Country.

Okay, Ed's number 1 fan here. I adore this horse ever since the original AC and he's my favorite villager ever. And he is his own fav villager, too, since he has his own photo on the mantlepiece of his fireplace. So it's rare but the bunny sisters aren't the only ones. :)

I tried calling my Amiibo villagers and I found another level to it, one of my villagers had fleas and when I called them they where all itchy like they are normally when they have fleas but on the call….🤯

Not sure if you know this, but villagers who hold lollipops NEVER exercise! This excludes the scripted group activity in the plaza and excludes the villagers with fitness hobby (eg: Phoebe). I used to think it was just Erik being lazy until I realized I've never seen my newer villager Avery exercise as well. I don't even know what type of track jacket Avery wears! The only common factor is that they eat lollipops instead of doughnuts or sandwiches.

7:14 this dialogue also works with bridges and inclines too. I had this happen when putting an incline between a couple cliffs

I got the cramped space ceremony dialogue! I put a ramp up with cliffs close on each side, no buildings in sight.

I put my campsite right next to a cliff and I got the cramped dialogue - my villagers were all on different levels and looking up haha

I knew mostly everything except the dream address quick wake up. Sooo many times I go to ppls dream island and can’t be bothered to find my way back to the plaza so that’s helpful!

Astrid chewed me out when I said that I accidentally open her package from another villager!! I felt so attacked!!!

I believe Nan actually has a picture of Chevre in her house. I don’t know if Chevre has a picture of Nan but that was something I noticed when Nan was on my island. Also, If you follow the trail of ants escaping from the museum, they actually lead into the nextdoor room where you can see them taking sugar from beside a coffee cup.

I'm late to this but you also get special dialogue if you try to invite a special npc to your campsite like Tom Nook, Isabelle, or Redd. It's different for each one so it's pretty cool seeing it

In the update where you can go to work, I got Chrissy and was making her home and one of her revcomended items was Francine's photo! It was so cute!

The biggest difference between the stores is the corporate vs small business model. The Able Sisters shop is a small business, only the two people run it. However, Nook's Cranny is *technically* run by Tom, but is *managed* by the twins

I restarted the game when I couldn't find Hamlet, which was the last villager on the island I had to give a gift for that day. Each time I restart, the villager is somewhere new and I don't know what they are wearing. I gave hamlet the same thing in the same color that he was already wearing! He said, "A baseball uniform! Just like I am wearing! It's a lot less sweaty and having a baseball uniform in reserve isn't a bad idea!"

The music that's played at Nook's Cranny is the same music that some Japanese stores play to let customers know that it will be closing soon. The grocery in Mitsuwa marketplace in NJ used to play the song. That's how we recognized it in the game.

Tom Nook will mention things being cramped at ceremonies for bridges/inclines too if the area is overly crowded as well. Chevre and Nan have each other's photos because of a Japanese nursery rhyme/children's song about a white and black goat that are pen pals and keep eating each other's letters before reading them so then they write back asking for the other to resend their message

Nan & Chevre both have photos in their home. The photos in their home is a nod to a Japanese Nursery rhyme called Goat Mail. It's about a white goat and a black mailing each other letters but instead of reading each others letters they end up eating it instead.

if you try to fly when you have island designer opened, orville asks you to close it and says “hey, thanks for humoring us! the dodos at the other airports tease us when we make a mess”

I only knew about, like, 4 of these; exiting a dream using the - button, Chrissy and Francine displaying each other's photos, Timmy and Tommy kicking you out at closing time, and regifting items the villager gave you. Most surprising and amusing thing I learned would probably be the crammed dialogue at the ceremonies. x3

I already knew about 9. when I first started I placed the museum right behind the plaza because I didn’t know that the tent would upgrade

I miss the megaphone from New Leaf, it would wake Gulliver instantly and he’d be like “Aye-aye Captain!” I’d noticed the ants, if you follow them they’re actually raiding a sugar cube next to the coffee cup in the working scientist area. I like how when you put an item with water in it like a bucket or goldfish bowl outside and it rains you can see ripples from the rain falling into it. I got the cramped ceremony dialogue once, I’d cut a narrow channel through some cliffs to make a direct route to Redd’s hidden cove and put some stairs down there and the narrow passageway triggered it.

I had opened a villager present by accident and I felt so guilty I bought wrapping paper from Nooks Cranny and rewrapped it which didn’t stop the quest. I sent it to the villager and everything was ok

I love the music in the shop from 945-10pm. Did not know they would kick me out!

I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned this or if it was commonly known, but I recent discovered that villagers won’t react to your wasp stings if you have sunglasses or other types of goggles on your face. If you take them off then they will comment on your stings again. I thought that was pretty neat.
