If you frequently spend time in nature - regardless of the type of climate -you may be at risk for an animal attack. To prepare for the worst-case scenario, equip yourself with the right knowledge. You may be lucky enough to have an awesome story to tell your friends about your close encounter. Here are some animal attack survival tips for you!
Most of the time, wild animals want nothing to do with humans. But, if you somehow end up face to face with one, rangers and wildlife experts have a few tips that may help you survive an attack. You can’t physically fight your way out of a grizzly, lion, or alligator attack - but you can outsmart them.
Wild animal encounters can range from awe-inspiring to scary, and knowing ahead of time what to do can take some of the fear out of seeing animals on the trail.
In many cases, wild animal encounters are a non-issue. While you’re on the trail, it’s fun to see animals. But you should always use common sense and know what to do if an animal encounter goes wrong.
If you're planning on spending time in the wild, research the animals that live in the area and read ahead on how to survive encounters and attacks from those specific animals. For instance, you may need to know about ostrich encounters if you'll be in the savannas or woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa, but you probably don't need to know about them if you're camping in a small forest in Michigan.
If you do forget what you learn in this video, just remember the golden rule, most animals are more scared of you than you are of them, so the worst thing you can do (in most animal encounters at least) is panic and run.

For the Alligator to run in a straight line is a bad move. They’ll sprint and run towards you and be able to reach you faster, run in a zigzag line, it’s hard for them to turn.

Actual story. Once when I was living in Maryland for a while with my great uncle, I had to go to school by walking a path to the bus stop. Once when I was walking and talking with my mom and sister, I was so absorbed in the conversation that I didn’t notice a garter snake ahead of me. I looked down for a second and under my foot I SAW ITS FREAKING HEAD. I looked back liking wtf because I had nearly stepped on its head. But it was a pretty chill snake and kept slithering along. Btw when my sister heard the word “snake” she just went running lmao

There should be more Animals in Minecraft, maybe a Savanna update that brings creatures like Zebras, replacing horses, Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Coyotes, snakes, ETC; There should be more animals in general, just to add to empty biomes

I remember the time I was at work and perched was an owl. That thing was like at least 2 feet tall looking right at me. And I'm looking right back at it. I didn't move though. We just stared and then it flew away. That wing span was big but when it flew it was so quiet. I wanted to get a picture of it but I figured if I did that the flash would startle it and it would come at me and being that big I didn't want any trouble.
I recently discovered, at least with the cats and dogs around my area that if you crouch down repeatedly they'll come to you. tbagging in games works irl
