Sadly i think they are from a country were it's normalized that woman are second class citizens,the music on the background sounded Turkish or something in that direction and they do look Turkish. In this sort of countries it's taboo to separate/divorce, especially if the woman is the one that wants it. Thank God I am born and life in a Western country. I feel so sorry for her, specially when i was myself physically and psychologically abused by my mother and my family not wanting to do anything about it. I know first hand how that feels like. Thank God I'm an adult now.

Arranged marriages are common, but it’s where you meet someone that your family chooses for you and ultimately you have the final say. They are not forced all the time; thats what forced marriages are called when they are forced. If an arranged marriage is forced, it’s no longer an arranged marriage. You can’t call that an arranged marriage. Please read up on other cultures before you make an ignorant statement about how arranged marriages are forced all the time. It’s really ignorant for you to say that. If family pressures you and you do NOT have the final say, that’s forced. Not arranged. If family merely suggests but let’s you have the final say, that’s arranged. In an arranged marriage, both parties need to consent. Please learn the difference between the two. Doesn’t mean that arranged marriage doesn’t have its cons. The family can give you an ultimatum that they may cut you off as a result of not marrying the person they want you to. That’s a toxic family dynamic. That’s not to be blamed on an arranged marriage though (but a lot of people do, unfortunately); that’s a manipulative, controlling family issue
