I had a cat like this. She never mated. Died when she was 16. Got her when she was very small. I think that made her a spinster. Never take a kitten from their mother until they are 12 weeks old minimum. Her brother was about two years when he got killed by a car. He was like 2 km away while his sister never went more than out in our garden. Always stayed at home. She was blind and deaf at the end. I miss them both so very much even though many years has passed since they died. 😭

I have an old lady cat like this. She only will chill with me. She's glued to me, screams for me when she hears me come home, follows me around the house and never leaves me alone. But whenever anyone else comes along, or another cat, or one of our dogs, she runs and hides. She doesn't really swat or bite ever. Just hiss and run. It's really sweet to be picked by a cat like that. But I can't help but feel like I want her life to be more enriched by others not just me. I've worked with her for a while but, she just doesn't seem to want to be around anything else that breathes
