Its $100,000. Not $1000. One hundred thousand ! NOT One Thousand. Look at the check. and $1000. Is peanuts to be playing for. Efren Reyes is a Living Legend! I avoid ever watching Strickland because he is such a bad sport and such a whiner. So childish. Efren on the other hand is most respectful, humble, and most professional when he plays. He’s the King of Kicks, Master of Banks , with perfected cue ball control like no one else and is a pleasure to watch by everyone. Well accept for the whiner as seen in this video.

The commentator would probably say "Are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?". He and Earl are like two peas in a pod. They have no qualms about lying to achieve their desired result. There is no way you can eat, sleep, and breathe pool like Earl does and not know that both of Efren's shots were good. He probably didn't expect the referee to call a foul. He just wanted to take the opportunity to shark his opponent. He does it all the time and he should be disqualified every time he starts running his mouth. It's not a level playing field when one player is cheating and the other isn't...yes, call it what it is.

He suppose to be the one who had the initial physical action of harm insisting of his nonesense rule of the game although it is clearly not a foul! He even said: "same thing" on Efren's second stroke while no one even the referee agreed to him! I feel this was the determining rack of the match, after this I felt Efren was going to win for the first time. Efren was pissed because he had climbed back from a big 17 game deficit- so to lose this particular game would've taken the wind out of his sail. Of the many matches I've seen Reyes play, he's an honest player and he will call a foul or will say if he thinks a bad call was made. For anyone who hasn't seen the full match watch it- it's some really high level pool...

I actually thought that earl meant the 5 ball had to make contact with the rail after Reyes hit it. Because i thought that the rule was the object ball (5ball) had to hit the rail after contact with the cue ball. There is legit reason to believe the 5 ball missed the rail on the first shot.

The rule is that any ball has to hit the rail after contact. In this case it was the cue ball. Efren would have played it that way to avoid any confusion because the five ball was so close to the rail already.

Efren is about as upset as I've ever seen him at 0:10. However, such a humble, virtuous man would not resort to violence in such a situation. Implying he would is not only disrespectful but also selfish. Because you're only doing it for views. It's good that you're bringing awareness to this amazing match, though. Would recommend watching the whole thing rather than little snippets cut together with inarticulate, awkward commentary throughout.

@@reylandavid2056 Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen it before. Earl was very gracious and made a nice speech. Nevertheless, I don't feel like it makes up for 40 years of being a real pain in the rear, for constantly disrespecting both players and fans, for sharking his opponents with his ranting and raving, and exhibiting behavior unbecoming of a professional pool player year after year. Earl has always seemed to have some deep-seated issues, and probably needs professional help, and I don't mean with his pool game. But if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, let's wait and see how he behaves himself in future tournaments.
