Actually genius video, a "haunted creepypasta game" getting presented in a 2008 video style, alongside with the unserious text narration that those usually had is absolutely brilliant. I LOVE how it really feels like a hacked game made by some rando to scare some poor kid. My favorite detail is in the end text, how amongst the foreign language text it says , the programer tried to do that "Escape from Lavander Town" trick of reading out the PC username to scare the player but the program ended up failing to retrieve the data, probably due to faulty code. So good, I love it.

I love how the video just ends with, “hey I know that this was freaky, but look at this funky lookin’ image I got out of it. Pretty cool, eh?”

@@harrietr.5073 it’s mostly the over saturation of unthoughtful jumpscares (the kind that just happen out of the blue) and how ingrained jumpscares are in modern horror. They’re great when used with good mechanics like the original fnaf, but that led to other indie horror developers using them without really understanding them, and the idea you can’t have horror anymore without jumpscares

I like the fact that with each level the game gets more distorted. the sky changes in the background,and you don't know what to expect.

One of the things I love most about your videos is how the story is told in a simple way most of the time but is actually shown in a genuinely disturbing way. There are no jumpscares, or anything silly like that. But the discomfort of watching and the realism of the situation in this vision is one of the things that is sure to anyone chill in pure fear.

I love how casually Brian2p goes through this whole situation, it made it impossible to take it seriously. That being said, the video did nail the feeling that the game is very much corrupted.

I like how small details like the pig structures falling apart but not breaking and the rng of the pigs and structures just falling down automatically without touching a thing* (*which actually happened quite often in the classic AB games) were used to give off an unsettling vibe before the parasite even appeared, if you know anything about AB than at least the automatic pig pops aren't that ig of an issue, but the unbreakable structures would be strange. And judging how the person playing got it, it makes complete sense as well. I love Angry Birds, so this was a nice one, it's short, and it uses good technique to give a feeling that something isn't right. I wonder if there's more to this story...

Terrifying, perfect creepypasta. It actually is creepy when it’s just horrifying pictures and not loud jumpscare sounds. Really fits the vibe.

I like how subtle the horror is. The fact that some of the Pigs had no eyes and that the game passes on even though not all of Pigs died was a pretty cool touch. It’s also interesting how the game is also shown to have glitches, you know, like an actual canceled game that wasn’t finished?

I think the video starts off very well with none of the blocks breaking and the fact that red doesn't make sounds when thrown is a very nice detail. Now let's talk about the bad, because there is a lot of it: the angry birds logo being pixelated to that extent on the title screen is cheesy af, that youtube "oh guys look at this weird thing that happened to me" thingie is incredibly generic and has been done better 1000 times before, the gyigas looking mf that appears when he enters one of the levels is way too goofy and completely kills the atmosphere, the objects in the sky are just random for the sake of being random and the horrible """"""creepy"""""" music is the cherry on top of this shitty attempt at a 2010s style creepy pasta, like seriously, that music kills every single hope of this being scary to such an extent that I can't actually fully articulate how much better it would have been to have the main angry birds theme or just no music would have been. Most of the ""creepy"" elements were clearly added for no rhyme of reason and add absolutely nothing to the video, making it in fact anything but subtle and like it was made by a 13 year old child. The comment by natevalleystudios1086 mentions that it feels like a beta version of angry birds but imo it is so artificial it misses the mark so hard on that I honestly would find the real beta version of angry birds creepier. You also state that it's cool that the game glitches lmao?????????? Like bro what that is a thing in horror like ever since twin peaks, it's also poorly executed here and also an element of just about EVERY SINGLE videogame creepy pasta like ever? Were you born yesterday or what? tl;dr: this is, in all respect to the creator, anything but subtle

I dont know why, but I really like the non-scary details here, like how restarting one of the last levels replayed the spooky pop-up like it was actually built into the game, and how the levels become so poorly built towards the end that the pigs are dying and structures are falling apart before the player even starts firing birds. Watching this brought back nostalgia (and fear too) This is so well put together

The idea of something that feels like something I had seen before but has been changed in a grotesque fashion where it descends into something unrecognizable is enough to make me unable to sleep at night, good job

Things that i have noticed to be different: Apparently, the only pigs that need to be killed are the "normal" ones The parallax background is in the same place as the ground, which makes it look like paper The levels are different (obviously) and start repeating after level 3 The parallax disappears on level 4 Sometimes, red does bomb hurt sounds The sprites of the birds when launched rotate, which in the original game they didn't The birds with the parasite are bigger The blocks don't break The other pigs are some kind of resprite of what i think are basketball balls The normal pigs have the durability of a helmet pig New things that i forgot to mention The blocks don't get damaged and are some kind of resprited glass with more durability, as it's easier to push them (Ignore this one i actually thought it was some kind of custom background) Pigs don't make sounds, not even birds (idle ones i mean, where they chirp) There's only the restart button The Main menu title cuts for some pixels, and the resolution of the play button is low quality (and makes even more unnerving the fact it has happy music) The grass starts looking messy after level 4 There's no level selection A text and an arrow appear in the first level In 0:10, after some seconds, the second layer of grass disappears New 2 things There is some kind of invisible floor in level 3 (when the bird falls and touches something) The bird sprites are cut off by a few pixels(?. I don't know, but their up part is shorter. But now i have various questions, how would the other birds work, and what happens if the bird touches a parasited pig?

The png has a shadow on the bottom (If you open a program and color pick near a blurred image, shadow, or similar, instead of giving you the canvas transparency, it gives you a pixel that is like, not visible at all. opacity, yeah. Plus the blurry, distorted effect given to the sprites in the video, which increase those sort of pixels). That's why.

its pretty obvious that the game isnt haunted or has some supernatural aspect to it. its ransomware designed to scare kids into giving some foreigner money. i doubt that the video poster is what you say, because their stated reason for downloading this angry birds file was so that they could replay angry birds. it has nothing to do with looking for paranormal entities.

I like how the block misplacing is an actual glitch in Angry Birds that has happened quite a lot to me before

This creepypasta is a great example of something I call gradual horror. Gradual horror builds the tension and horror over a long time, which to me is a lot scarier than just a generic jumpscare. Gradual horror is the same technique used in the NES godzilla creepypasta and is one of the reasons that creepypasta is so well acclaimed.

I love this kind of horror, not jumpscares every 2 seconds, just something that gets more and more unnerving with the time.

As some one who spent their entire early childhood playing the original Angry Birds and its many sequels and LOVING them all, this was *INSANELY* nostalgic, as it made me feel like a little 9-year-old watching an Angry Birds original game letsplay all over again, super captivating and super unnerving, as was watching at 12:20 at night and hiding behind my pillow awaiting a jumpscare/horrifying image due to how well you built up the tension. Nice job, VibingLeaf!

Dude this is sick, sorta like dead plants where someone downloads a game in a suspicious website with weird urban messages spread around it. Honestly this is extremely cool and creepy. The faces gave this unswerving feelings. Truly what I call an “Angry Birds Jumpscare”👍

The way you even made the player realistic is so amazing, it feels like an old KZread video from 2011 and the quality with the scare factors fit in with the feeling really well too.

This actually made me remember the feeling i got when i was playing that bizarre AB rip-off on my mom's Sony Ericsson when i was 6. There was like only one level where the pigs would infinitely spawn on some kind of vehicles and drive towards you and you had this list of infinitely upcoming birds to stop them. If it wasn't for this video, i would've probably never recovered this memory.

I would say it's more the terror of having your information and privacy breached. There is always a barrier between you and the internet and things like viruses and ransomware break that barrier

I find this very interesting. Basically it's applying the same techniques as analogue horror, but in a digital medium. Also none of the horror draws much attention tomitself, nothing jumps out, things are just vaguely uncanny and wrong. Very good work you've done here!

Cannot express how much I love this. I love angry birds, super nostalgic and super fun, specially this era. You know what I also love? This style of horror, yours specifically. So what do you do? Make this banger. And let me tell you, I loved this. It was a perfect mix of scary, nostalgic, and believable . This was super cool and you nailed it. Awesome work leaf!

I know this is meant to be a horror video, but I couldn't help but laugh at 1:46. Half the player's job done in under a minute.

I really love the subtle build-up in this video and how it doesn’t even have jumpscares, even in places where I might expect one to be. I like some of the small but strange details, like some of the levels ending before all of the pigs are actually gone. It also feels more realistic, since it may well just be a virus that someone made to scare some kids and scam them, which is sinister enough. I love this video for both creeping me out and making me feel nostalgia for the game that 8-year-old me was obsessed with. ❤

That's cool that the video survived the ransom infection Virus horror games, it's truly more scarier than tbe horror games but it costs your device to get infected by viruses

I absolutely love the feeling of a windows movie maker video, its such an amazing format. Angry birds was part of almost everyone's childhoods, and I'd love to see a sequel or a continuation to this if it's possible.

this is just a perfect way to deliver a creppypasta in a video format you are really bringing back old vibes but modernized and completly unexpected good way

I found the story being that this parasite had taken over your Angry Birds copy, and went through the levels themself without killing pigs. The intent of destruction would explain why some of the levels have the pigs in different positions or a large sea of blocks at the back.

I like creepypasta like this because they're similar to what might actually happen. Not a demon from outer space who infiltrated a lost copy of the game (although that can be played well sometimes, too). Just a computer virus. Awesome work!

What I find interesting is that none of the blocks actually break. This leaves a sort of empty feeling as you’re not getting any satisfaction of any sort with the blocks crumbling and really adds to the video

This could possibly be real since the translation of the text literally says "your files are not gone, but they're all encrypted, pay up 300 dollars so you can get them back" It's a ransomware. Made by a scottish guy with the intention of scaring kids and locking their computers out until their parents can pay them back. And ransomwares are pretty much hidden around google websites soo..

This genuinely feels like something that could exist and be a genuine danger, I can imagine some kid just wanting to play angry birds and downloading this on accident. What's even better is that it has that old 2010's creepypasta charm while also adding in elements from newer horror, it has a Sonic.exe vibe except this is actually good! This is the first video I've seen from you and I have to say that you just earned a subscriber, your content is great.

Apparently, as one commenter pointed out, the text at the end of the game was Scottish Gaelic, and as it turns out, it actually is Ransomware. So, in a way, this Creepypasta-styled Angry Birds video can be a real possibility.

I loved it when the jumpscare doesnt looked like one. It intentionally did it to mock fun of people who downloaded it, telling them to pay up if they wanna get their pc to be fixed and not screwed up. Like honestly I love it when a creepypasta isnt scary but more of a "based on real life" stuff.

This is gonna be a long comment, I apologise, but the use of buildup in this short is literally incredible. I really enjoy how the horror in this one is much more subdued, with subtle visual glitches giving off this really uneasy, uncomfortable feeling. I got that same feeling when seeing something I wasn’t supposed to as a kid And then it hits you with THAT FACE. I literally physically recoiled when it came up holy shit. But the player being barely phased by it made me chuckle-what a vid!!! I also really enjoyed your take on Smile Dog and Mr Mix, super excited to see what you do next!!!
