@Eru Ilúvatar Andre was literally their BEST singer. Edu couldn't hit the notes that Andre could, and didn't have the stage presence either. Andre was a class act, and a hard act to follow.

@Eru Ilúvatar Fabio is far past in his prime as the singer of Angra. The best singer Angra ever had was Andre Matos. I didn't say it was Andre's best work, I said it was Angra's best singer. Try to understand what was written before you submit your rebuttal.

@Eru Ilúvatar not because he was the first. He is the best because he is the best. Everything the guys was involved succeeded. Viper, Angra, Shaman, Avantasia. The guy was a genius... Edu and Fabio are good singers but that's about it.

This song is from "Temple of Shadows" album, which is an amazing conceptual album about a crusader who could not understand why he had lost everything in a war he was fighting in the name of "god". Well, at least he thought he was fighting in the name of, God because that's what they told him. And why would a God that is supposed to be love want all that killing? You'll definitelly love it!

André's passing is terribly sad - he had so much more to give still, at least he seemed to make peace with stuff he'd held onto for 2 decades seeing as he had, just a couple days prior, said he was finally open to the possibility of a reunion with Angra if Kiko was on board. At 47, too, just tragic.

what is interesting about angra is that, their music is diferent between discs, each one has its own theme, so while temple of shadows is based on the crusades, holy land is about the discovery of america(south america), rebirth is about remaking oneself, and so on. its pretty interesting to go from one to the other.

I've being asking for this for SO LONG! I think since I discover this channel. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Please do a reaction to Shaman Fairy Tale or Angra Carolina IV in the name of Andre Matos, he was the first singer and the co-creator of Angra. He past away last saturday, he had an amazing voice and he was one amazing human. And I think Vin will love Carolina IV, he always talks about how he enjoy when he sees people reaching out for their roots and ancestry, this music have a lot of brazilian music and brazilian/african religion in it. Please, give it a chance, Vin.

Angra's former singer, Andre Matos, sadly passed away last Saturday due to a heart attack in his sleep May he rest in peace! I had the chance to met him, such an amazing guy

Wait, does this song have Kai Hansen in it? Edit: It sure as shit does. Knew I heard him. This album apparently also has Hansi from Blind Guardian on track 9, which is pretty sick. The song's called Winds Of Destination.

André Matos was one of the founding members of the band and just passed away las Saturday. The most “iconic” song that he wrote and composed and make the arrangements is call CARRY ON!!! Actually the old members, that made a video talking about the lost of a GREAT musician, at the end of the video they say Carry On in honor on his name an career and a great person he was. RIP Andre Coelho Matos

All of the initial members of Angra (and also the actual ones) are very talented musicians. Its first singer André Matos had died recently from a Heart attack at the age of 47. In the song "Temple of hate", André is no longer the singer Angra. Thus, I really recommend the song Carry On where André Matos is still the singer. By the way the guitarist, Kiko Loureiro , that plays "Temple of hate" now plays with the band Megadeth. RIP ANDRÉ MATOS

"Temple of Shadows" was one ANGRA album that hosted a lot of special guests. On this song, you may have noticed the "intrusion" of charismatic vocals by the Power-guru Kai Hansen of HELLOWEEN and GAMMA RAY fame. A further song, "Winds of Destination", had the contribution of BLIND GUARDIAN's Hansi Kursch! ANGRA's back catalogue is a treasury of supreme Power metal with unique Brasilian folk influences. Can't hear them on this track, as it is more in the Neoclassical vein, but try "Holy Land", "The Shadow Hunter" or "Sprouts of Time" to see how different they could be! (I was also going to mention that if you were to strike points for bands sounding "like IRON MAIDEN", well that would apply for most of Power metal, seeing how it spawned off the NWOBHM movement... Besides, nobody sounds exactly like the MAIDEN, courtesy of that supremely prominent galloping bass!)

I prefer Angra with Andre Matos (RIP). Carry on was one of the first songs I ever heard from them and totally blew my mind. Vin. Kiko Loureiro, Angra's guitarist is currently the lead guitar for Megadeth. If you want a fun fact.

Their most similar counterparts band would be Rhapsody of Fire since even Rhapsody Singer Fabio Leone replaced Andre Matos who past away 5 days ago and was the original singer of Angra until some years ago. Very little like Maiden, but a LOT like Helloween, Gamma Ray, Edguy and other similar power metal bands. All of them have a little Maiden in them though I guess.

Please, react "Nothing to Say" by Angra. The first singer Andre Matos is a legend! He passed away last saturday :(.

Angra! Finally! I love this album. The Shadow Hunter is my favorite song from the album. No Pain For The Dead is another. The crusades were an inspiration for the story of the album. There are bits of story spread out through the official lyrics sheets that are not sung in the songs.

best brazilian rock band = angra and sepultura I was 16 on this tour. It was amazing to see them live. Always the same reaction of the gringos, by surprise. A very well done work, impeccable recording. Kiko Loureiro a master on guitar. But what has always impressed me is that the album did not have the recognition it should have on the part of the world media. This is without doubt the technical peak of Angra.

This album is a masterpiece. To understand it you must have the album and read the story line and bible passages between songs... I think must of the song in this album are wrote from the perspective of the character who is living that era at the crusades

Damn, RIP Andre Matos!!! His voice was amazing. I put him above Michael Kiske as 1 of the best. They both are up there with David Defeis, Tobias Sammet, Kai Hansen, Eric Adams, Fabio Leone, Hansi Kürsch, Andi Deris, Timo Kotipelto, Jonny Lindkquist, Roy Khan, for melodic/power metal vocalists ever.

This metal is not easy to listen at all, that's why I love it. It's complexity is so engaging. It's not everybody's cup of tea but I love it.

Both singers from Angra..the one singing in this video Edu falaschi..and the former Andre Matos..almost sang at iron maiden when Bruce left the band in 1993...the band is really influenced by maiden.. Andre matos sang with bruce dickinson in a Angra live show in 1999...

The Temple of Shadows album is a concept album and it is about a Crusader named Shadow Hunter, so it is about the crusades.
