They did not have advanced machines,computers,technologies back then. And they compensated it with..... *Superb Acting, Brilliant Direction, Nice storyline, Great Lyrics, and complimentary music*

Again watched this movie. These movies ' angoor ' ,' golmaal ' - the original one, ' Chhoti si Baat ' , ' ' khatta meetha ' the original one, 'baaton baaton mein ' are like oases of fresh water 🌊 one returns to time and again. These are timeless classics. Clean , intelligent, full of humour, no vulgarity, or double meaning dialogues . I watch them whenever I feel low . May God make India and the world a better place. 🙏🚩

A movie I have seen a decade before, Plot is "A landlord having a sexual affair with his farmer's wife a newly married couple. A cycle man went out and he comes to sex with her" it was an art movie..... could some one please name that movie.... please

No Sir, this script is exactly the same as the legendary Uttam Kumar- Bhanu Bandopadhay starrer iconic Bengali movie BHRANTI BILASH. Would have been better if Gulzar saab also credited the maker of Bhranti Bilash apart from crediting Shakespeare.

Whoever has said "Old is Gold".This movie proves it. Classic comedy, hats off to Gulzarji.

But alas, hema chose a married,2 baccho ka baap dharmender instead of a single unmarried guy who loves her wholeheartedly. Later an actress Sulakshana Pandit who worked with him as heroine in few movies started liking him and proposed for marriage, but both of them remained unmarried. He refused to marry her as he knew he will not survive long, as a result of which Sulakshana vowed to never marry anyone and still she is single.

Relive the era when comedy was done without offending anyone with innocent heart and without disrespecting anyone's religion

U can't forget Deven Verma

We have Do Dooni Chaar (1968 - Kishore Da & Asit Sen) and Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan (1998 - BigB & Govinda) besides this with the same story & plot. But Gulzar Saheb's treatment of the subject and presentation makes this movie stands out in the lot. This one is the best of three. You can watch it as many times as you want, you will still find it as fresh & entertaining, as ever.

Sanjeev kumar Yugo yogo tak amar ho gaye chahe wo 20 century ho ya 21 century . Really a versatile actor.

Apart from one of the best comedy movie of all time, with all supernatural acting by all the actors.. The Song of Deven Verma at 1.21 onwards is hilarious as per situation. Fantastic movie.

Slapstick comedy is one genre of comedy. Falling off as one slips over banana peels comes under that genre. The great Charlie Chaplin had his entire comedy based on the same genre. Even cartoons like Tom and Jerry.

What a master piece ❤️ even in 2021 this movie (drama) kept my interest till end 🌹 loved it

masterpiece acting by all actors. what a movie. most of the scenes are subtle reminders of their immense acting talent.

Watching this on new year...made my dayyy❤️
